There is no manager available that would get me going.
Just let Ruud take it over and fucking hope that he can play some good looking football.
INEOS pissed away another year, because they let fan emotion carry them away. Amateurs.

For what it's worth, I like Nagelsman and would be trying to get him out of Germany. Klopp has a clause to leave the redbull group for the Germany manager job

This next appointment will be INEOS's biggest yet. Ruud for the next few games and then ideally someone who can come in and Ruud can work under again. We cannot end up with another Ole situation if he has a good run of results (which I don't think we will with those in charge now).

Markets going haywire now. New odds just shortly after I posted:
Ruud 1/2 Xavi 3/1 Southgate 4/1 Nagelsmann 6/1 (PLEASE - but seems unlikely) Amorim 6/1 Carrick 7/1 Frank 9/1 McKenna 14/1 Terzic 20/1

INEOS really looking stupid giving Erik the 1 year contract extension when he still had a year left on his original contract and clearly wasn't going to walk away.
But still 29 games left in the Premier League and another 5 games to play in the Europa League and still in both domestic cups so a new manager or even Ruud might still be able to salvage something of our season.
I have a sneaking suspicion INEOS might have someone lined up. As that was what stopped them from replacing Erik in the summer. Hopefully it is Xavi although I'd also be happy with Terzic.
But even if it is Ruud until the summer at least it is someone we will enjoy getting behind and we will get a bit of a new manager bounce and a back to basics approach might be just what we need if the players have been stifled by Erik's confusing tactical instructions and the physical demands of all the pressing Erik requires.

Ruud will hold the fort down and keep the team moving forward, we honestly can't be any worse than we are so the bar is painfully low.

Current odds on SkyBet for next permanent manager (pays out after 10 games, hence why Ruud is top): Ruud - 1/2 Ruben Amorim (Sporting Lisbon) - 7/2 Thomas Frank (Brentford) - 5/1 Gareth Southgate (unemployed) - 7/1 Michael Carrick (Middlesborough) - 7/1 Graham Potter (unemployed) - 7/1 Xavi (unemployed, possibly influenced by his wife posting a picture of their kid in a United shirt yesterday) - 9/1 Kieran McKenna (Ipswich) - 12/1 Edin Terzic (unemployed, took Dortmund to CL final then resigned) - 14/1 It’s an uninspiring list… Anorim or Xavi I think. Id say more likely xavi as there was talk of amorin to city if pep leaves and with viana joining city there could be something in that.

I'm willing to bet that Rudd will win 4 of the next 6 games and be given it permenantly.

I know this is a death spin cycle but I’m excited to watch a match again. It will be nice to see Ruud at the helm I hope the results follow.

I’d say Amad in particular is delighted. There won’t be a manager in world football that plays that clown Antony over him. Or let De Gea leave for free and sign a much worse keeper. Or sign Mount for that ridiculous fee. Or play a rightback as a #10. That was my sliding doors moment with ETH.

We’ve allegedly spoken to Xavi last week and he’s out of work. Fits the bill from that perspective.
I don’t think there’s anyone out there that really gets me excited. But we were all excited about ETH and that didn’t work out, so who knows.
I don’t hold any hard feelings towards Erik. I think he’s been caught out really by the size and scale of the club and the scope of what was needed. He’s never given up and tried to force his way out like Jose did. That’s reflected in the fact that the players haven’t turned on him. He gave us a couple of class days out along the way.
Ultimately the recruitment was poor. He misjudged the difference in quality between the Dutch league and England and then repeated that mistake. Couple of years down the line and still no defined style of play. That speaks to the chaotic recruitment we’ve seen.
Good luck to him. He has a lot of integrity and has proven in his career that he can win things. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes here and makes it back to a big club in the future.

I fucking hate this shit and I don't see any difference with the other coaches who were all sacked in the same way at the same point. It's been a backdrop of chaos for all of them!
Last years FA Cup, was one of the best memories and moments in recent history, that 1/4 against Liverpool and that display in the final against City! I'm sure he will do really well somewhere else with stable management and football people behind him, like he did at Ajax.
Anyone but Southgate! I'm absolutely convinced that's where they are headed
