Pound for pound Sancho has a strong case to make as the second worst signing United has made ever after Maguire. Paid 170 million for those two. Yeah for all the shit Harold gets (completely justified) he doesn’t go missing like Sancho does. Obviously I’d prefer he was missing though. If you get what I mean. True, Sancho is just beyond me, done with him. If we can't sell we really should be sending him back on loan to Dortmund, they'd bite our hands off especially knowing Bellingham is off in the summer. Maguire is just limited and how oh how we fell for the English hype and paid so much is just beyond me. The desperation of the club is beyond anything.

The odd thing is ideally you would want a bid combinded from Sir Jim AND Qatar. My logic is Qatar have the money but Sir Jim just comes across as the one that would be ruthless to sack all the board and directors and higher ups inc Murtough. He won't give em a minute to explain themselves.
Whilst the Glazers have absolutely pilfered the coffers on debt payments, the reality is the money we have absolutely wasted on transfers is completely tragic. Maguire, paid at least £40 million more than he is worth. Fred £30 million overpayment. Sancho and DDG wages just thrown around for fun. Sanchez my Lord those wages..... Martial is another one that is vastly overpaid Jones given a contract extension!!! AWB overpaid by at least £25 million
Woodward flushed money down the toilet year after year after year after year and the owners allowed it due to commercial revenue

Ronaldo also thought Ole should have been given more time. Enough said. Funny that, his real feelings were 'ole was in over his head'. Ole himself didn't want Ronaldo. This club is just a mess, Fergie needs to just get back on the cross road and do the needful to relieve the situation. This was his quote from the Piers Morgan interview www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11436587/Cristiano-Ronaldo-insists-Manchester-United-NOT-sacked-Ole-Gunnar-Solskjaer.html"Because what I keep inside my heart is the heart of the person, and for me Ole is a top person. Coach? Of course, he didn't look for what he wants. It's hard to assume after Sir Alex Ferguson, but I think he did a good job for sure and he needed more time. But I have no doubts that he will be a good coach in the future" Ofcourse he is not not an idiot , he knew the job was too big for Ole , but it didnt matter because Ole setup the team for Ronaldo to score. And that is the only thing which mattered.

I think a part of good management is overcoming adversity and dealing with sub-par options and still getting a team performance greater than the sum of the parts. Fergie managed some pretty poor Manchester United teams at times and still kept winning trophies and the occasional title. I think we've seen with Ten Hag that when we are at full strength and the players are on form we are a good team that can play some good football and beat anyone. So if we get super rich Arab owners then we are all set. But I don't think that is something we can count on by any means. You'd pray no matter what happens players like Maguire, Wout, Sancho, Martial, Scotty etc. won't be around next season. But just like all his predecessors including Fergie, Erik will probably still have to field some pretty mediocre squad players from time to time and get a result. We are one of the biggest clubs in the world , and we got ETH to play the modern progressive football. There is no use getting a top coach and asking him to make do with mediocre shit players who belongs in crystal palace or burnley. Fergie may have done it but he is arguably the greatest ever , its not a fair comparison , and even Fergie had a core of world class winners in his side all the time. We have Casemiro and thats it. Fergie got rid of garbage, he did not work with inferior players and he certainly didn't tolerate mediocrity. There's no magic wand in football, your utterly dependent on the quality of the players. Fergie didn't just sign gifted players, he wanted the whole package and rejected players who weren't strong enough mentally because he knew how hard it was to play for utd at the highest level.

martial, Jones, bailly. No sympathy from me. I'd love to be earning silly sums and not show up for work week in week out.

Said it time and time again over the last few seasons. Some of the same players just don't give a shit. They're too soft and when the going gets tough they take the easy route and cave. One thing we really need to stop doing is renewing contracts during the season, they need to earn them, not just get a handout after a few good games.
We've gotten rid of a lot of deadwood but unfortunately there is a lot more to go. He was let down in January by not being allowed to bring in a proper striker. Had that have happened I'd be in no doubt we'd be in touching distance of the top of the table by now. So he needs to be fully backed in the summer.
Until they go, the same shit will just recycle itself irrespective of who the manager is. He's by no means perfect and has made some mistakes along the way but there is only so much you can get out of a squad like this. Especially when your better players are either suspended or injured.

What was Ronaldo supposed to say about a club legend and thoroughly nice guy who even though he'd taken us as far as he could was badly let down by his players in his final season. Ronaldo to his credit didn't down tools last season. But as thanks for that he was left to rot on the bench the first half of this season.
Also in fairness to Ole he probably massively overachieved with the crap he had at his disposal. He deserves some stick for his abysmal transfer record (and should have really been given a proper director of football to work with). But he was finishing top 4 with Maguire-Lindelof in defence, McFred in midfield and Martial upfront. Bringing in Erik was the right decision but he is a Pep type manager who needs full backing if he is to achieve his full potential.
I can understand Erik didn't want to adapt his system to accommodate Ronaldo and felt Martial and Ronaldo could offer the team more upfront. But it was a grave misjudgement. There was plenty of evidence that Martial isn't a player you can rely on and Rashford is a lot better out wide. So the 100m euros we spent on Antony should have been spent on a top class centre forward and Ronaldo should have been given a loan move or something if he wasn't happy with a squad role. And while players like Bruno and Rashford have benefited from Ronaldo's departure goals are still a huge problem for us.

He wasn't left to rot on the bench either. He made it abundantly clear before the season start he wanted out. He even said he'd take part in an interview in the weeks to come, even when he did play you could see he wasnt 100% commited thefore Ten Hag opted for other options, it's his fucking right as the manager to do so. People need to accept it instead of using it as a stick to beat the manager with. He's gone, move on ffs.

Factually inaccurate, but carry on. How ?? Its a direct quote from his interview Did he say Ole deserved more time or not ? If so why ? Ronaldo got Mendes to demand that Woodward sack Solskjaer immediately after the Watford game, after having made it clear behind the scenes for months that the player did not believe in the manager. What he said in an interview a year later, after the manager was sacked, about an ex-teammate and club legend is irrelevant.
