A couple of really easy cup runs have really masked the reality of this season and the reality is we have made very little progress. 6 points off Ole’s first season tally. 💩 With one cup won and in the final to win another. Not quite sure why there continues to be comparisons with Ten Hag and Ole. They are nowhere near the same. |

AWB needed hooking he was shite. ericksen was gassed. even though sancho scored he soon reverted back to type and hid from the ball. Antony should possibly have stayed on even though he wasn’t pulling up many trees. We should have killed them off in the first half. |

Poor in game management again & subs from ETH. Lessons clearly not being learnt. Other than Pellistri for Weghorst i dont see anything wrong with the subs. AWB was a disaster waiting to happen even in first half , Fred in theory provides more work rate and defensive cover than Eriksen , Sancho was shit apart from the goal. I think the main issue is the mentality of most of these guys rather than any major tactical mistake , slightest bit of pressure and they crack. Or they thought they had the game won at 2-0 which is even worse |

Bruno as much as i like him can be such a frustrating player.
If he is a bit more composed in those vital moments he can be truly world class.

We all know it the squad is weak, ETH is trying to spread the game time between players as we are playing every few days but it ends up disrupting the game plan because players like Fred are shit, again last night he came on and started passing to Spurs players he`s a liability. Weggy ? jesus what was ETH thinking??
We are going round in circles get the new Qatari owners in and lets rebuild.

Our away form against half decent teams is shocking.
He needs to be more pragmatic and quickly or many of these players whose abilities he gives too much credit to will see out another manager.
On a different note, maybe his management of Ronaldo could have been better ?
Wout is a shocker of a replacement.

We have lost both our first choice CB's forcing ETH to play our best LB at CB which results in us having to play one of our 2 average RB's at LB(and when one average RB was playing shite and was rightly hooked we have to switch our other average RB back to RB and replace him with an erratic kid at LB). Top that with having to replace a totally gassed Ericksen with another average player(Fred)who was even shitter than usual. Bruno missing a sitter along with Sancho going back in his shell instead of kicking on after he scored didn't help either. Yes ETH makes mistakes but those players on the pitch should have put that game to bed in the first half. Bar about 3 players i wouldn't care if all that staring 11 where binned off this summer. |

Eriksen was not totally gassed but even if he was Sabitzer was on the bench to come on instead of Fred. The manager either needs to be good enough to set the team up to compensate for the dross or he needs to figure out a system that raises them to a passable level. We got 2-0 up and we gave it away. We started giving it away at 1-0. It was obvious. We aren't ruthless. Sick of it. Sick of the constant need to find excuses for it even more. I want some fucking accountability and 'It's the owners' is wearing thin. |

Fun fact about those threads - this is the fifth season I've done them and, if we get top four this year, then as a group we will collectively have predicted whether or not we get top four wrong every single time across those five seasons.

The minimum 'progress' was always two trophies and third. We have one trophy, in the final of another but are scrabbling fourth almost by default (Chelsea hiring Potter, Liverpool imploding, Arsenal inexplicably being top instead of fighting for fourth). We will see how the season finishes. |
