Regardless of what you think of Rashford, 40 goal contributions (29 goals and 11 assists) in 52 games is impressive.
He's having a great season, and he's only 25 years old.

For me Rashford is both underrated and overrated at times(sometimes in the same match).
He can be out of this world one game and bang average the next.
He’s a very good player but not an elite one(elite players usually have 7-8 good games out of 10 but rashford is a couple of notches below).
Saying that I’d bin off 95% of the squad before moving him on.

I think most posters on here agree that he's not the cream of the top like Mbappe or Haaland like I've seen suggested (not on here, but elsewhere the talk has been he's one of the top players in the world) but he's also nowhere near as poor as some try to make out. And, quite simply, whatever your thought on him he's far and away our best and most effective forward; so the notion of "get rid" whilst Martial, Sancho, Elanga, Weghorst, and to a lesser degree Antony are still here is mental. Once they are gone and better players are in then let's look at Rashfords place in the team/squad, but having him on the chopping block makes no sense. |
