Keane had a theory that we might be over training, so we're going in to games with players not energised but feeling leggy, might also explain the number of injuries
There have been stories about Erik working them harder and keeping them in training longer etc. No problem with that but it's going to take time for the players to come through the other side of it, think Klopp had a similar issue when he first arrived at Liverpool.
Could be completely wide of the mark ofcourse but its a possibility......🤔

Whatever is going on its clearly not working the injury list is ridiculous and its not a new thing.
Other teams can sustain the stamina required for 90 mins that was evident against Brighton, we are a train wreck.

Say what you like about Dave and his fuck ups ,He still got us through games we didn't deserve anything from. I Don't see Onana doing anything like that for us as consistently EVER, but he's good with his feet though....
I truly wish it wasn't but it's the biggest mistake we made this summer....
ETH deserves whatever happens for his role in that.

As a squad we clearly aren't capable of playing the football Erik wants to play.
Casemiro and Eriksen do not have the legs. Scotty doesn't have the technical ability or footballing intelligence. Neither Rashford nor Bruno can keep their discipline when things aren't going our way.
Erik was saying in the post-match comments that we need a holding midfielder alongside Casemiro. And clearly Amrabat is more than capable of filling that gap. But what do we do when Amrabat is injured? Is Mainoo really capable of stepping in and playing as a backup CDM? He's only made a single appearance at competitive senior level and CDM requires positioning and an ability to read the game you only pick up with age and experience. And if Scotty cannot play as a CDM then why did we turn down £30m for him in the summer from West Ham? And why did we sell Fred on the cheap when he can at least do a job alongside Casemiro?
I want to believe that Erik is a man with a plan. But he looks out of his depth and seems to be losing his mind with strange tactics, team selections and bizarre comments to the press.

Not necessarily true, if you naturally have a footballing brain then it doesn't matter how old you are, you either have it or you don't, whether he does or not i don't know as we haven't seen enough of him but the fact he has been played in multiple positions in midfield, ie. deep lying and more attacking suggests he does have the brain required, got to chuck him in there to be sure though, can't be any worse than we've seen before!

He’d probably be fine in a City team, unfortunately there’s a few donkeys in front of him.

At first Onana was very vocal shouting at the defence, that’s suddenly stopped. Not sure if he’s in shock how bad they have been in front of him so far or been told by ETH to button it, he looks average so far but the defence isn’t helping him.

Other than Weghorst and Antony (obscene fee), I am ok with the signings ETH has made. I see why we signed Onana, also see why some are saying it could have waited.....
Manager wanted to kick on in terms of play, we are yet to see it manifest but hoping it will soon.
Whilst I am all for backing the manager, he should not be allowed to sign anyone at any cost, they have to fit the way the club believes football should be played and the club's vision. Issue is that there is no vision and the people in charge don't have clue how we should play.

Mount, Varane and Amrabat will all be available by Oct1, maybe even next week. That will mke a huge difference in energy and defensive organistation. Antony and Sancho shit will be resolved soon for the right wing and Rasmus will build into his role! Rashford will cop on he has a striker to feed as well
If you add Shaw too, we are missing 5/6 first team players and bedding in a young new striker
It will improve a lot, but the stink of the owners and the morons around ETH remain. He is making some mistakes in planning with transfers and some transfers are 50/50, plus the crap we can't move on but he shouldn't be responsible for all of that. Glazers and the tat seller Arnold Woodwards sidekick and the gombs directing the transfers under them are the real problem.
Bayern or Real coaches don't plan the next 3/4 years or have to deal with all the shit a United coach has to do
Also Klopps first 4 years at Liverpool 8th 4th 4th 2nd and 0 trophies. One of the best managers in the world according to some
Artetta first 4 years 8th 5th 5th 2nd Peps natural successor

I'm far from writing him off but I'm also far from impressed with him either. He’d probably be fine in a City team, unfortunately there’s a few donkeys in front of him. It's depressing watching minnows or top 8 teams like Brighton who look so comfortable playing from the back and can beat our press easily when we look like scared headless chickens. There's two reasons 1. We have never done it before Ole and Mourinho didn't do that so that's 8 years with that German weirdo in between= no coaching in that area 2. We don't have good enough players in front of him who are used to it or can deal with it nd Dave was terrible at it. I suppose with Onana/Dave or getting the right players in front of him, it's a bit of chicken or egg. He had to make the change or give Dave a new contract, but now it has to be coached with time and we need some better players including a regular good CB partnership and better tidier full backs and Reguillon looks good

Manager wanted to kick on in terms of play, we are yet to see it manifest but hoping it will soon. Agree with this. Just like the success of an organization starts from the top, the style of play and efficacy of a football team surely starts from the back. If it was deemed a priority then I'm fine to back ETH on this one too - look at Liverpool and City, they replaced their keepers and things only clicked thereafter. DDG, whilst winning the golden glove last year, still hasn't got a club even though he's availalable on free. Onana has been nominated (whether realistically/not) for the Ballon D'Or this year, and almost won the European Cup last season. Antony has been a mistake, that's the one glaring error in my view - perhaps Malacia, but he's still so young and might still come right.

Another manager cannot be allowed to leave and the players just stay and get a free ride and new contract.
The board must send out a clear message that the players are stuck with the manager so they either perform or get their agents to find them a new club, everyone has a price.
Something drastic must happen, the obvious is a change of ownership but I still think the players should be performing irrespective of the owner

There was always going to be an element of learning on the job for Erik. He got a fairly easy ride last season because Varane and Martinez formed a strong central defensive partnership, Casemiro was incredibly good and Rashford had a purple patch which helped us pick up a lot of points even while we weren't playing that well as a team. And of course there was the usual new manager bounce.
What he is doing this season isn't working. The test is whether he can be pragmatic or if he is going to be stubborn and bury his head in the sand.
He's already admitted in an interview that Casemiro needs a holding midfielder alongside him and Amrabat is clearly perfect for that role. Hopefully he will abandon any temptation to play a diamond and play Pellistri on the right. And if Rashford isn't willing to adapt his game to feed Hojlund then Garnacho should be starting ahead of him. For too long we've been overly reliant on Bruno and Rashford on the counter attack and we need to move past that.

A lot smooth brained United supporters with decent followings on twitter seem to think it's time to turn on the manager...yet when pressed they give no real evidence as to why (of course). There response is our record for this season and this season alone. One even tried to say Ole is a better manager and shouldn't have been let go.
Bald is Boss and I stand with his course right now. He was left with a pile of out of shape, ungrateful, no talent shits and he trying to weed through it. He makes odd decisions but every manager does, some just have the talent to see it out, so it masks the head scratchers.
Injures are killing us and whats left to take its place is utter waste from shit buy after shit buy. New striker looks the part but needs time, GK is still a question mark but the talent is there. Varane/Shaw come back and the defense looks better, Amrabat comes back and the midfield doesn't look like a hole filled napkin. Mount comes back and the right side starts looking a little better.
Antony stays away until his shit is figured out. Barry should never see the field again. Sancho can go get nutmegged by 13yr olds until he realizes he not the victim he's the fucking problem.
