Just on the issue of money: I think a big reduction in spending on players is needed, to eliminate the poisonous mix of egotism, selfishness, delusion and indifference to outcomes that swamps the team. I'd give the CEO of the club (not the company that owns it) a budget at least £100m below the current one, to incentivise the football operation to stop buying expensive players and to stop paying stupid salaries. I'd let that increase when trophies are won.

Is Hannibal injured? If not get the boy back in the middle of the park. One of a few who actually looks like he willing to run and put the effort in like his life depends on it.

How these players aren't embarrassed with themselves is mind boggling.... The acted fucking lost 90% of the match. Like they didn't know how to play football....
This will all fall back on the manager one way or the other because that how it goes, god forbid this band overpaid idiots take any sort of actual accountability for how bad they looked. Onana is literally the only one that looked good today, hell he looks like a completely different person from what we've seen. Everyone else is regressing, except Holjund but we won't know it he is because our mid field couldn't be bothered to try to get the ball into the penalty area where he isn't surrounded by 6 players. He's realized he is just going to have to run it in himself, gets held back and no call.
The refs have it out for us because the PK call was soft as newborn baby shit and the announcers even said it was. I'm so worn out with how this team is playing that it's hard for me to watch and that takes a lot.

This is why we need a full sale! Ratcliffe is not going fix this shit with the Glazers here. The club is just extremely toxic right now, oozing puss from the top all the way down into the soil.
No manager alive today can make these players play.

I can’t imagine even SAF succeeding at the club today.
We’re already closing on over 10 years without winning the league. Unless something dramatic happens, it’ll get to 20 before we even notice.
Unbelievable. You wouldn’t see this ever happening to Real or Bayern. We were supposed to be as resilient as they are. Nope.

How could you compare the ownership and upper management of this club to those two? Club is going in the direction it’s being run.

Unbelievable. You wouldn’t see this ever happening to Real or Bayern. We were supposed to be as resilient as they are. Nope. There's a reason he finished when he did, he knew what was happening at the club and didn't want to be caught in the downfall. Instead, he got the ball rolling by suggesting a manager that was out of his depth before he even arrived and we've not recovered since. It's impossible to be as resilient as another club when one is being driven into the ground. As said above, its going in the direction its being run and nothing is changing anytime soon.

Lets not rewrite history , Ronaldo left the club because he was openly disrespecting the manager. It was not because of his performance. (which honestly was not super great either , there is a reason no club in Europe wanted him when he left) And goals comparison was with the previous season we had under Ole when we finished second, the number of goals clearly came down when Ronaldo played. Was it completely fair on Ronaldo , no , but the way he conducted himself didnt leave ETH with much of a choice in the matter.

He needs to go with the kids from here on in. Pellestri, Garnacho, Mainoo. You could at least be patient with their inconsistencies with the hope of long-term improvement. There’s nothing g to care about now, bar Hojlund hopefully kicking on.

The thing is we do need the Qatar money, we need a new stadium, we need new training facilities, we need a full reshape of the boardroom, we probably need another 500m on players at least, once that's all done then, yeah the club will sustain itself, but we need a huge injection of cash firstly. The clubs revenue would never be able to achieve that on its own. It's a nice dream to think we don't need a money man in charge, but we do we are probably 10 years behind city in every single department. While I agree, I think his point is valid. £1.6bn we've spent in 10 years and we have Johnny Evans playing CB and a mid table squad. The club has been so badly managed, that if it was government department, we'd be having public inquiries. The owners have got to go and quickly. I agree to a point, however as someone who may or may not work or have worked within a high-profile government department - United looks like a well oiled machine by comparison.
