There seems a real possibility of Tuchel and Ten Hag swapping clubs. At which point we may as well stop watching games. At least Jose was charismatic and endearing to an extent. Tuchel is a turd.

West Ham one place behind us with a new manager. If they haven’t already made up their minds to sack him and announce at the end of the season then the club needs liquidation as far as I’m concerned.

To quote SJR better to walk to the right solution than to run to the wrong one… But yes we should be well down the road to deciding…

Who would you sign as manager I think at this point we may need someone to get us out of the big hole we’ve dug for ourselves. So my picks won’t be popular. Tuchel Simeone Conte I don’t think Zidane is interested. Maybe even a punt on Inzaghi or Enrique ? This current turmoil isn’t a job for inexperience imo.

Just bring Conte in and let him sort this shit out with proper recruitment. We had enough of this nonsense about process and long term vision and having patience.

Conte is a hard no! Tuchel is the obvious choice when you factor in that he will be out of contract come June 1st. Enrique is the one I have wanted for some time now.
Realistically if ETH goes then Tuchel will come in. From the outside looking in, Tuchel has been in war mode for the last 2 years really, I feel like he needs a break, a year out but, that doesn’t help us.
Other than them I can’t think of a left field option right now.
As much as I wanted ETH to succeed and with the injuries and everything part of me holds hope, I just think the rot has set in and under any structure above him we won’t see the change needed on the pitch with him in charge.

Owen and Scholes both suggesting McClaren as caretaker manager until the end of the season praising his coaching abilities and both quite positive that he's being frozen out by Erik as they cannot see his fingerprints anywhere over the team. That does have a ring of truth to it.
It is actually not a bad idea. This team desperately needs some proper coaching and defensive organisation. McClaren is a very experienced coach and has a bit of managerial experienced and knows the squad well as he's been part of the Ten Hag setup from the start. And I don't think he can do much worse than Ten Hag has this season.
I think we are also clearly at the point where Ten Hag is a massive part of the problem and has to go. There are enough potential candidates out there that we can get someone this summer who can do a better job for us.
I'm also of the view that we should go with experience....Tuchel or Conte. Conte apparently prefers to work in Italy. So it might have to be Tuchel. But I think he'd be a major upgrade on Erik. He's a far superior coach and is widely acknowledged by his peers to be one of the best in the game. He's got a lot of experience managing big clubs. He's got a lot of Premier League experience. He also has a reputation for being incredibly meticulous and organized and that is what we need right now.
In a few years time once INEOS have upgraded our squad and filled it with young technical players with good attitudes we can think about bringing in a young exciting innovative manager and backing him. For now we need someone who can help oversee a multi-year transition process and get the most out of the current team which isn't going to be replaced overnight and keep us reasonably competitive.

This lot stick up for their own. We heard similar shite about McKenna and Carrick not being up to scratch when Ole was manager, then as soon as they left they can do no wrong. It’s like some enjoy watching us be shite forever and can’t let go of the past.
