before any change is made the structure needs to be sorted out. CEO DOF and or head of recruitment get rid of those that are just earning a wage clearout squad deadwood especially seniors and rotten eggs Managerial review is last on that list. Push come to shove just simply tell ETH he like everyone else is under review, he should be mature enough to realise the results are woeful and it needs looking at Until this is done there is not point discussing a new manager or firing ETH.

Achieving all the above could take years!
I agree that we should get a CEO and DOF in place and they should be the ones making the call over whether Erik stays or goes in the summer and it will depend in part on what alternative candidates there are interested in the job. And of course also depend on whether Erik turns things around 2nd half of the season when players return from injuries etc. And whether Erik is prepared to cede a lot of control over transfers.
But we already had a pretty major clear out when Erik took over. And all he has succeeded in doing is bringing in a bunch of deadwood of his own.

Hiring proper people in those positions should take months. There should be no reason we go into the summer without a proper footballing operation set up and running.

With all due respect, isn’t this what ROM is for? We speculate on players moving in and out of the club. How we are set up for matches, along with match management during the games. We express our frustrations when things are going sideways and how fucked up the ownership is. We have no insiders who give us the straight dope, and the club isn’t transparent at all. So, to me this is a perfect thread to allow all of us all to have a place to say who we want to manage the club. There is no wrong choice as they are each individuals vision of us going forward. ETH has shown that he isn’t up to this job and we will need much more out of our next manager….

So nearly a month on , anyone changed their mind about who they want ? I know I definitely don’t want Di Zerbi or Potter. They would be eaten alive here.

Amorim would be a contender I'd think.

Erik is not the right man for the job. That much is clear. His recruitment has been terrible. The team has no identity. The players do not seem to respect him. And he keeps picking the same underperforming players. And after realizing that he cannot get us playing like Ajax (despite trying to recruit half their team) he seems completely out of ideas.
Not keen on De Zerbi. Managing us is a very different ball game from outperforming with a mid-table team. Potter failed at Chelsea and will face the same issues. Amorim would be worth a go. His ascent in Portuguese football is incredibly rapid. Admittedly Erik looked the real deal at Ajax and it hasn't panned out. But it doesn't mean we didn't have the right idea.
And I like the idea of a fresh start especially as we are revamping the whole team above the manager. Erik has already been given too much control over recruitment and it will be difficult for him to give it up.

Alonso anyone?
Probably wouldn’t come to us but could be interesting…

I think Amorim and Alonso are probably the main 2 candidates but doubt Alonso would come anyway. Simone Inzaghi?

Iam still keen on Conte.
Amorim is an interesting choice, but he is just 39 year old. United job may prove a bit too much for him at this stage of his career.

I’d be surprised if SJR and his team persist with ETH.
As for the new manager, I haven’t a clue.
