The top 3 favorites with the bookies are Southgate Potter Tuchel Absolutely horrendous. If that's the options then we ne e to stick with Eth, and massively clear this squad You know that not happening either.

Apparently Laurie Whitwell has said that ETH is NOT going to be sacked this season. INEOS will give him a chance under the new regime...
Is he reliable?

Personally I would bin ETH at the end of the season(assuming no CL obviously) but i will be fully behind what the new regime does either way(unless they hire waistcoat).

There's a whole thing in the Athletic which basically says no-one really knows what will happen, INEOS will take their time and - crucially - Berrada and Ashworth will drive the decision-making but can't do anything right now as they're both stuck on gardening leave. Also mentions that Southgate may be on the radar as he knows Ashworth (!) but that many people doubt he can make the step up to elite club level. So on balance very unlikely that ETH will get booted in the short term.

The only way he turns this around is to win the cup and move on the deadwood in summer with smart transfer upgrades.

The only way he turns this around is to win the cup and move on the deadwood in summer with smart transfer upgrades. We will definitely shift players on we need too, but the smart transfers is what we need, we have been linked with adarabioyo on a free this summer, he's done brilliant at Fulham and to get him on a free is an instant upgrade on Maguire and lindelof, throw in the likes of the young full back at Fulham or Bournemouth who the big clubs are looking at, someone like Neto from wolves and it's all instant upgrades for a lot of our players be that starters or squad players and at a relatively cheap fee. Then hopefully we have enough funds with sales for a good young cm CB and striker, personally I would go for Toney if the fee was reasonable but he will more then likely go to arsenal.

If it's true that Nagelsmann doesn't want the job, given that De Zerbi has started to behave a bit tiresomely, I'd actually consider McKenna. I'd rather he got to grips with the job next season than have another one like this.
On the issue of tactics, I think Ten Hag would like four quick, strong and technically competent defenders who could play much higher up the pitch and be relied on in most cases to stop counter attacks.
But there is so much else wrong with the way he sets the team up and which isn't caused by having no adequate defender (Martinez would be the only one if he wasn't permanently injured, and I think Kambwala has good prospects) that it's impossible to think that putting the right defence in would lead to the team being good.
And in any case, we'd need to buy four full backs and three centre halfs to add to Martinez and Kambwala, which we can't afford.
I don't disagree with getting the team above Ten Hag right as the priority, but nor do I think he's worth persisting with.

McKenna is doing excellent where he is, and I think that's precisely because of where he is. Big clubs need big egos, big personalities, to manage the massive pressure. McKenna has to show he can do it at another, slightly bigger club, before coming anywhere near a club like this.

McKenna's clearly an excellent coach but still needs to ascend the managerial ladder. He may be right for us one day, but he'd wilt under the pressure at United right now. If nothing else, it wouldn't be fair on him.

Ten Hag’s subs took the momentum away from us and handed it to them. Meaning we spent the last 20 mins+ on the back foot. With how this side plays and especially defends, the message should’ve been to go and kill the game. Not just hope to hold on to what we had. We know we have some of the dumbest players known to man but the manager shoulders plenty of blame for me. His tactical acumen is non existent. hes got to make subs though. they were keeping the ball quite well and in the 90th+ minute they had some nice sequences of passing / moving. it was individual basic errors that cost us the 3 points not the manager. im not all for ETH by all means but these players kill every manager they have and until the players are replaced we wont get anywhere

However, the fact that only really Onana has improved his rating then (Rasmus is probably a 7.5 too) shows just how awful most of these purchases have been. If he does stay he cannot be the sole voice driving the transfers, that’s blindingly obvious.
