Pogba had moments, he was a creative force when we lacked one. Hollywood passes at its best. But he was riddled with attitude, inconsistency and turnovers. Sancho had a goal v Liverpool and fuck all else. “But he was riddled with attitude, inconsistency, BAD HAIR DOS and turnovers”. Fixed it for you. Pogba’s hair was pro Ukraine before it was even relevant.

We've been linked to a January or next summer move for Franco Mastantuono a 17 year old Argentinian wonderkid that Real Madrid and Barcelona also interested in that would probably cost about £40m. Midfield playmaker heeir apparent to Eriksen who we are trying to shift over the next week.
This is Real Madrid level of competence.....trying to put in place our midfield for the next decade with Mastrantuono and Kone!

Osimhen off to Galatasaray on loan. Mental that. Fucking stupid for not going in for him, even if it was a loan deal.

Imagine like everyone else we figured he was heading to the Saudi club that signed Toney instead !
Will only have a year left on his contract next summer and if he drops the crazy wage demands and Zirzkee fails to impress then you’d imagine we would be in the runnings

Also as we’ve seen already with Weghorst you can get players out of loan deals so maybe in January we could offer Galatasaray some compensation and offer Napoli a loan fee

Martial and Memphis were rated among the best young players in Europe at that time. While i appreciate these kind of signings we will need proper world class players signed for the starting line up. Hopefully Ineos won't compromise on that.

Vini is now one of the best players in the world and Endrick has a chance to be the same. Sometimes you have to gamble.

Players in their prime, someone who is good enough to get into the starting lineup of the likes of Real, city, Bayern, Barca, PSG. I know Pogba and Di maria didn't work out, but that is the sort of quality we need imo.(obviously with better attitude) There is simply no substitute for quality.

We need to concentrate on being a consistent CL team, before we try and buy players to actually win it. No big-name player has done well for us since Sir Alex other than Bruno, and he wasn't exactly a being touted as a world class talent at the time

It absolutely should be a big part of our transfer strategy.
If we can identify promising young teenagers with huge potential get them for a reasonable price and put them on modest wages then either they can develop into first team players or useful squad players or we can sell them for a decent profit. We’ve got a good tradition developing young players but unfortunately we can no longer cream off the best of British talent the way we used to and you’ve seen how clubs like Everton think they can demand £70-£80m for the likes of Branthwaite and the season before Southampton flogged Lavia for about £50m.
It is a far more sustainable transfer strategy than trying to buy players in their prime that even if they work out only give us a season or two and have limited resale value.
Of course it’s not easy to identify who is going to make it and mistakes will be made but we certainly should have the resources to do it well
