Probably file this under ‘done’ now. That's it then. Get in and do something other complain about injuries and trusting the process. Give the supporters something to get excited about because you have studs in defense, midfield, and striker to really do something with.

Ten Hag had a far better resume But here we go… In fairness to you, it can’t have been easy constantly defending Ten Hag on here, particularly lately. And you deserve credit for backing your beliefs. But it’s time to let this go. I was merely agreeing with Smithy. I didn’t even bring up the fact that ETH embarrassed Ruben the one time they faced each other. I am now fully on board with this though. Get him in asap.

Best thing Beard can do is give some kids a run now. Amass, Amad, Collyer etc all probably deserve a go. If he can get something out of Ugarte and Zirkzee who look like sinking under the weight, then all the better.
I've no doubt he'll be backed in January and Summer too.

If it is Amorim, I like the fact that he is so young and apparently a good communicator. I think the generational thing can be a factor, when you are building a young team. There are some older coaches that have a huge aura about them, where it doesn't matter like Fergie or Ancelotti, but even Mourinho as he got older lost patience. It's especially true with very technical or disciplinary coaches.
There has to be a balance between being tough and making it fun or relating to the players. Amorim is young for a coach, he only retired as a footballer in 2018 and he was pretty good too.
He's pretty fixated on 3-4-3 and that may work with what we have, when a few players come back, especially Yoro and when they get a top LB. It might also be innefective in the PL and he may have to change. There have been other top coaches who have failed to implement that set up in the PL. Guardiola tried it and binned it, Van Gaal and others. It worked for Conte in one season, but he had the right players to switch to, but it didn't last after that one season.
His record is good, but it's not exceptional and he is still inexperienced at the top level. He could be the next special one or he could be Villas-Boas( He had an even better record at Porto with a treble)
ETH record was also hugely impressive at Ajax and built two teams, even more impressive in Europe. When he left they were unbeaten away in Europe in 12 games regularly topping their CL groups ( Ironic when he couldn't win a game in Europe with us)
Recruitment will be key for whomever it is anyway.
