I'm an English man living in Scotland. I have to support England. Its expected. Every tournament I swallow all the hype and end up bitterly dissapointed after we crash out. Thats football. But what I hear all the time is Scots complainning about the English media. Its not the English media, its all the media. From the tabloids to the broardsheets from the radio to the TV. When there is no news, there should be no need to report on speculation and rumour. These people should just report on fact. Verified fact at that. Fuck the media.

Well let's face it, news has become more about sensationalism than fact. I can't help but notice that the entertainment value of tabloid television seems to supersede the need to present a balanced report on daily events. I for one don't watch gossip based shows as I have no interest in people's imaginative interpretation of the truth especially when it's done solely for entertainment. While I can't influence what's being displayed I can certainly opt not to watch.
