Best thing to be said is i don't think we can play any worse than we did today. Only Ronaldo came out of that with any degree of respect. Fuckin appalling from everybody else. Fergie is going to have to face some home truths from the recent games against Crewe, Copenhagen and of today- we have a starting eleven and we have a reserve team, and nothing in between. Thank fuck we don't have to watch any more of these carling cup performances.  Depth has been the issue, especially when trying to spread the same starting 11 over too many competitions. Now let's hope that we don't have a repeat performances in the cups we're still in. Depth is one thing though, right now we don't look like we can afford to have more than any two of the first eleven out without it breaking down. Fergie, no more pretending that the back up players are anywhere near good enough for this club. Get them out, it is embarrassing. |

If he actually showed glimpses of a higher capability like Rooney and Ronaldo were, i might have more patience than 5 minutes. But at the end of the day, Chelsea do not keep players in their main team and wait for them to mature, they have those in their prime or those young but on form, this means we can't wait for years on end for one or two to perform consistantly if we're going to compete with Chelsea. |

Heeeeeeeyy don't kill our kids off!!! You all know what can happen in cups! To field the young lads alongside fletcher and O'Shea and the notyetinform Smith in a cup fight is just like sending a unite to Vietnam after 3 weeks of basic army training.
I'd like to see Jones alongside Scholes, Giggs and Ronaldo before selling him!
as for Richardson.... I don't care about him beeing sold

im not killing off our kids but i dont want to see richardson being given chances as he is now.. id rather see eagles in there more often because he is older than cristiano and rooney but yet he continues to believe he does not need to improve..

Ronaldo had some decent chances in the second half, besides from that no one did much good.
Majority of the players on that field aren't good enough, D Jones doesn't seem to have developed into what we all hope basing the judgement on this match and the Crewe match.
Richardson is a good player, but his arrogance has gotten the better of him this season, I've been watching him since a kid, and the talent is in there, but he needs to sort is head out or he will be good for nothing.
Most of the the top teams can field a bench much better than ours, and we do need better back ups, either by making new signings or by getting the kids who are on loan back and sorting them out. We need back up in midfield and up front.
But what we also need is the players to get an attitude adjustment, what we saw tonight was a bunch of kids thinking that they were so good that they could beat a Championship side with their eyes clothes, they wasted chances, tried showing off when they had nothing to show, and they underestimated a team who badly wanted to beat the great Manchester United.
