I'd like Richardson to start today if Giggs is still out injured or rested. I think he has something to prove, games like Boro can be the making of the lad. He's had a hard time recently and all fault is his, but versus Everton midweek he looked like he had that chip off his shoulder and wanted to make a difference. He is part of something big now, I think he's seen that, I hope he's seen that and I hope he gets some more action for us because I know he has, in terms of talent, what it takes to make it at United.

Damn right Adam he has to prove himself. I just want him to fufill his potential. It would be good to see regular quality performances from the lad. He certainly has been under acheiving.

I had high hopes for Richardson, but tbh i think this is his last season to prove himself and he hasn't done well so far. Hopefully a good game will trigger him otherwise i can see him leaving.

VDS Nev-Ferdinand-Vidic-Heinze Ronaldo-Fletcher-Scholes-Giggs Rooney-Saha
Brown, O'shea, Evra, Carrick, Kuszcak
bit odd that Carrick is on the bench, oh well

I had a feeling one of the first four midfielders would be rested, my thoughts would it'd be Giggs but it's Carrick. Fletcher can do a job though, I fully believe that. We should win this game with that line up.

Yeah, if you want. I've been getting stick for praising Fletcher for ages so it don't bother me anymore ... he always produces though so don't worry P.S. Java Chat is open for Live Match Chat on the Forum's home page.

Anyone notice how we looked less clinical without Carrick? 6 Points gap now, shut up moanrinho.

The live chat worked out well. =)
Good result really, always tough to go to Middlesbrough, for some reason they do well against big teams. Fletcher showed some promise, and good finish with the header, let's get him up for corners.

Well, good result and even more the important as it brings us to six points ahead of Chelsea with a big week coming up. Victory over City will make it a nine points gap, despite playing two more, they have Arsenal up next.
First things first, the penalty. It was a definite penalty. Ronaldo was brought down by Schwarzer no matter how many times the Sky cameras want to slow it down.
The movement of Ronaldo, Rooney & Saha was great with Giggs and Scholes supporting them.
We should have scored more in the first half, but 1-0 was well deserved.
In the second half, the crowd got behind Boro and there was sort of an inevitability of them scoring. Surely Gary Neville and Gabi Heinze are at fault for the goal?, but it didn't matter as apart from that they had comfortable games and once we conceded we went straight up the other end and scored.
Great break away, Scholes to Giggs to Ronaldo, who done well once pushed wide. Giggs was there to support him and feed Fletcher for a nice headed goal. I told you he'd do well today, his all round play was good. Covering the defence, and speeding the attacks up by keeping the ball moving around the midfield and forwards.
Despite Ronaldo's dangerous play, Fletcher's quiet but effective play and Rooney being given the man of the match award by Sky - I think our Man of the Match was PAUL SCHOLES.
Covered the defence well when Boro attacked, his distribution was great and he done everything but score.
Well played Scholesy but all the more importantly the team, we got another three points and are keeping the pressure up on Chelsea.

Good win, nice to see us bounce back quickly like that after getting scored on. I think I predicted 2-0 but 2-1 is good enough. Happy with the victory and with a 6 point lead at least until Chelski play Newcastle. Thought we were shaky in the beginning, made me a little nervous getting off to a slow start. Nice goal by Fletch and I think we got a little bit lucky on the pk but I think everyone agrees that we'll take it. All in all I think it was a pretty solid game, we closed them down early and had control throughout most of the game. Good result.

If people want to see something that isn't a penalty they should watch the Arsenal highlights.
Just perused the Table and Reading are 6th on equal points with 3rd. I had no idea they were doing that well. Makes that 1-1 draw feel a little better.

That Alan Green on BBC radio is some toss pot! Licking Scouse arse and critiscising Ronnie for winning a peno tonight. I hate the git.
