Fletcher was very impressive- worked tirelessly. Scholes was coolness personified against Boro with rooney often tracking back into defense this performance was very good and the result even omre important. pity we couldnt bag another goal or two on the counter...

Good to see Fletcher playing through the middle, he always works hard wherever he plays but doesn't neccessarily get involved, he did the simple everytime in today and got rewarded with a goal, played well, i hope he's not shoved out to the right next time he plays, he's no winger. Is it just me who gets annoyed when O'Shea feels the need to chip the ball everytime he passes it in most games? On Wednesday he got it down and passed it, today his chip-the-ball syndrome returned, even if somebody is fairly close he'll stick it up in the air Southgate is just trying to add to Ronaldo's reputation which hasn't been an issue for a while now, it wasn't a dive for the penalty, he didn't throw himself down and ask for a penalty. His momentum was interrupted and he lost his footing because of the keeper, who incidently, didn't take the ball but diddisrupt him.

I wonder if Southgate would be so quick to accuse a Utd player of cheating if Keano was still around to dance on him, a la the 1995 FA cup semi? Dick.

Rooney was rubbish yesterday. He had the touch of a paedo. Giggs wasn't on form either.
Anyway, good to see us not let our heads drop after losing the lead and reclaiming it immediately. Sign of a mentally strong team.

glad Saha put it away but I thought Ronny was our new penalty taker May be they wanted to get his confidence back and allowed him to take it...

Yeah Saha works off confidence (as most strikers TBH) so its important for him to get the goals.
and i have noticed O'Shea wanting to play the ball in the air constantly now that i think about it.

Southgate: 'Diver' Ron Shames United Cristiano Ronaldo has been told he is a "cheat" whose diving is spoiling the thrill of Manchester United's title challenge. Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate was furious with Ronaldo after he tumbled without being touched by keeper Mark Schwarzer to earn United's penalty opener in the 19th minute. Southgate said: "Something has to be done because it is happening with that lad too many times. I can't comment on the referee's decision because I don't know what his view of it was. He felt from the view he had that there was contact. But it is clear that there wasn't. United have got so many attacking options and the type of football they play is fantastic to watch. There is so much good about what they do that it makes the other side so disappointing. Did Ronaldo cheat? Yeah. It's as simple as that. It's difficult for the referee because it happened very quickly, but how many times are we going to see it? The lad's got a history of doing it." Simon Bird, Daily Mirror I say Southgate should fuck off.....he isnt qualified to make these comments
