Hopefully we can get a win ... without any injuries or anything .. and another good performance from all our boys playing to the beautiful sound of our fans chanting in the away stands perfectly

Smith is in the team! What's your lineup?
I go for:
...................VDS Brown.......Rio....Vidic...Heinze ................. O'Shea Fletcher........................Park ..................Carrick ............Saha........Smith
This is a lineup I wouldn't be happy with but I think it would see us keeping a clean sheet with VDS, a very defensive back 4, O'Shea as a holding Midfielder and two wingers with an immense work rate. Carrick had just about 60 minutes against Fulham and we could hope for some magic (?) from Saha or a comeback goal from Smith or at least a Rooney double from the bench. This lineup would make sure we could come back in full force against Liverpool! I go for a very hard fought 0-2

I'd play Fletcher in the centre and play Ole wide-right because we need a fresh Scholes and Carrick for our game against our Liverpool friends. I know its the Cup and all, but if we beat the Scousers on Saturday then they can start polishing the Premiership Trophy. And they'll probably rest some key players for their game against Barca so it's there for us. I think Tuesdays line-up has to reflect the importance of the Liverpool game.

Likely line up imo.
Tomas
Neville Brown Rio Heinze
Ole Flecther Carrick Park
Saha Smith
Not sure wether Fergie will play Rio, I think he will because being honest we've looked weak at the back without him and he probably wont want to risk it. I think Neville will be in the side after being rested. It's about time Saha started for us and it's definately time we saw Alan Smith. Hopefully Rooney and Ronaldo will be on the bench, and hopefully we wont need them but It'll be great to see Smith and Rooney upfront.

Tomas Neville (not the full 90) - Brown - Silvestre - Heinze Fletcher - O'shea - Scholes (not the full 90 ) - Ronaldo ( not the full 90 ) Saha - Rooney
that's the line up IMO.

why should SAF possibly rest VDS after just two games?

its not about resting VDS but rather about giving Tomasz some games ... the more games he has the more confident he is ( normally anyways ) ... and plus he's stuck with Tomasz so far in the cup games... so i don't see why he'd change that...

I can see him sticking with Tomasz though I am concerned about us defensively particularly if Vidic is out we could be a bit shakey at the back. ?

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is struggling to be fit and looks likely to miss out.
Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Edwin van der Sar and Henrik Larsson may be rested, while striker Alan Smith is likely to make a reappearance on the bench.
So I think Fergie will play this team:
Kuszchak
Sheasy Rio Brown Silvestre/Heinze
Ronnie Carrick Fletch Parky
Rooney Saha

By the sounds of it Fergie will involve Solskjaer, Smith and a few more of the fringe players. Larsson, Neville, Giggs and Scholes won't be involved either so it'll be a changed line up for sure. Vidic is also a doubt. I see it looking like this: Kusczcak
Brown - Ferdinand - Heinzé - Evra
Ronaldo - Carrick - Park - Richardson
Saha - Solskjaer Subs: Van Der Sar, O'Shea, Fletcher, Smith & RooneyI'm happy with that although I'd like to see Scholes on the bench I don't think he will be. Prediction2 - 1 UNITED; SOLSKJAER & RONALDO
