Interesting line up....can't say I'm pleased seeing Richardson on there though. Nice to see Heinze and I think he'll do well at the back. I wonder if Smith will get some playing time...

I like your enthusiasm. Ive had a little flutter. Solksjaer scores first, United 2-1 and Doyle scores first United 2-1. I'm a fan of the scorecast's. #yahoo#

Just fucking glad it's over. Fucking rubbish performance.
Ian Wright just said : I just love the songs and the fans... anything to do with the Hansen and Shearer chants I wonder?

Richardson, Silvestre, Fletcher and O'Shea really need to do better. Poor post 8 minutes performance, but hey result is a result.
I still hate John Motson.

I got the feeling Fergie wanted to push the players on the pitch to try to force them to finish it off instead of having to bring on the seniors to show them how its done. They have to learn the lesson at some point and whilst 3 goals up, it's a good time to do so.
Just hope Fergie learnt NEVER to play O'Shit and Fletcher together in central midfield, A b y s m al.
This game was truly meant for Smith, he'd have given it his all and put himself on the line, why Fergie didn't bring him on earlier is beyond me. There won't be a better opportunity this season to introduce him back in.

Great opening to the game for United, some breathtaking football..we deservedly got through to the next round but made it so hard for ourselves.
O'Shea, Fletcher and Park were poor in the second half, constantly losing the ball and putting the defence under immense pressure without a midfield cover. Brown was shaky because of that and Heinzé was also as shaky - and, I think that was down to the midfield or rather the lack of it.
Richardson impressed me at times today, gave some cover at left back when Heinzé went AWOL, gave the Reading defence a lot to think about and provided Solskjaer with a peach of a ball for his goal.
Fair play to Reading though, very impressive. Coppell's brought together a Championship side, with Championship players and made them a very good Premiership side.
My man of the match though was Louis Saha, who was outstanding up front and deserves a start versus the Scousers.

Yep I'm glad its over. Awful performcance from us, considering we were three up in six minutes. Fletch was AWFUL. I tried to defend him at first, but I withdrew my support pretty soon after. We had chances to score on the break in the second half but we didn't take any of them. That's criminal. Still, we're through, and we rested many key players. Saha looked good but he needs to look up! Reading were very good to come back from an awful start. Impressed with them.
