Too true about Saha, he looked very good. Ya he really stand out today. Won a number of freekicks...kept possesion well and how bout that goal!!! my god saha was fouled a lot though. but his goal was great. superb chest control. we were very lucky to escape with a win without going into extra time. our defense was pitiful at the end of the game. ( pitiful... good word) when u think about it it was very good that most of our starting XI got to rest. we made so many mistakes and wasted the ball so much it had me shaking my head. fletcher and richardson... #shakehead# lets hope our performance against the dippers is much much better

Fuckin ell reds, my blood pressure could do without that. Groaned when I saw the lineup, our midfield looked SO weak. O'Shea and Fletcher in the centre of midfield is just asking for trouble. Thank God for those three early goals. Lol I was pretty hysterical by the time the 3rd went in. Ole's was the best of the lot. Still, job done. Through to the next round whilst giving most of our players a rest for Anfield. Great stuff. We have Middlesbrough next in the FA Cup so I hope we put on a better show...

Briliiant atmosphere from the Utd fans for 90% of the game, shame i had to look dissapointed when we scored as i was in the reading end . lucky to escape without extra time, but we deserved a win.

I thought Richardson was alright for once (although he did give the ball away a bit but didn't he assist Ole's goal?), Fletch was a bit shit, O'Shea was very good first half a bit shit 2nd, Park did fuck all. VDS MoM I thought he was excellent. Both Reading's goals were very good but our defence didn't look like they could be arsed really. Rio was invisible. I tell you what though, Gunnarsson's shot that hit the bar was a cracker.

Id say EVDS was man of the match. Saha started well, but as the match went on he got worse and worse in my opinion. Mind you that could be said about anyone. Fletcher isn't great, but this season he has improved. Today he was dog shit along with Richardson. Silvestre wasn't too bad, but was still his usual self.

Great first 6 mins but apart from that it was shocking. We should have scored at least 2-3 more goals with the amount of 2 on 2's and 3 on 3's we had. If Rooney and Ronaldo came on at half time I reckon we would have ended up winning 5 or 6-1.
On the bright side we knew it was never going to be easy and we did the job we set out to do. And we can have no injuries or complaints of tiredness on Saturday. If we take 3 points at Anfield I don't think anyone will even remember this performance.

The second half performance was amateurish. Schoolboy stuff. It doesn't matter what the team was, there is no excuse for that. Fucking dreadful. Worst performance for a long time. The majority of the team tonight, except a few notables, Edwin, Wes Brown, Gabby, Louis, Ole and our subs did what was asked of them. The others, and I include Rio in this tonight, Rio, Fletcher, Richardson, O'Shea have to look in a mirror and ask if they're United standard because that second half is just not on. A Manchester United performance is playing to the death. Coming back in stoppage time against Bayern Munich when everyone thought we were out of it. Not score 3 goals against Reading in the first six minutes, then after that, sit back and expect it to be a fucking breeze. I'm making myself angry now. That team made me angry. It hardly ever does but tonight I'm angry. I feel like we've lost. I know I might been harsh on Rio so I take that back, the others deserve their heads knocked off and/or a boot up their ass. Inexcusable.
Well, with that said, I'm off to Tenerife tomorrow which was a mega surprise. Lucky me. With them three early goals, I thought I was heading off after a great win, wasn't to be.
See you's again next week. Have fun. Here's to destroying the dippers. #boxing#

those of you saying richardson wasnt that bad must have been watching our other kieran richardson because the one i saw was shite he gave the ball away far more than anyone else on the pitch which created a lot of pressure for us to defend he was utter pants i know he set our 3rd goal up but how many could we have scored if he didnt lose the ball all the time he just is not good enough but thats just my opinion

Absolutly spot on. Richardson is awful. It's a shame because years ago he had enormous potential but tonight show's that he can not cut it at United. He is more suited to a Middlesbrough or a Fulham. Not even a top team. I don't like saying shit like this about my own team, but im just being honest. Along with Fletcher he is not good enough.
Anyway, that's enough of my complaining. I need to get myself up for the game against the bin dippers.

Silvestre was actually better than Heinzé, but people don't like to pick up on that. This was Fletcher's poorest performance this season and I don't think people should start jumping on the bandwagon again of criticising him. As for Richardson, I disagree with some of the criticism he's got. I have to agree with you, Richardson still had some rocky moments where he ran 30 yards and fluffed it giving it away, he still does have so much potential its still frustrating having seen him from 17 onwards not fullfilling it. Our worst defender today was Rio, he was put in there to calm it down, and he ended up being at fault for the goal and generally rocky. Silvestre had a mistake free performance, did his job. Heinze was quality going forward but Richardson kept going in field instead of assisting him on the wing. Brown was terrible, Park worked hard but it was barely a stable enough game to get our wingers in the game outwide. As for O'Shea, ashamed to have a player of that quality at United playing in the centre of our midfield. He's a born defender, not a midfielder.
