I would like to see an attacking line up. We should play like United not fucking chelsea. BUT you know it will be 4-3-3 As long as we get a victory I'll be happy but I aint a big fan of 4-3-3 Delighted that champions league football is back. #yahoo# #unitedbanner# #cheers# I think the signing of Hargreaves means 4-3-3 all season in Europe, unless he's injured. Looks like he won't make Wednesday though, so it'll be interesting to see how we start, however we do start it needs to be the strongest XI and needs to be a good start. Dying to see Hargreaves against Chelsea on Sunday.

anyone know whats up with anderson, he wasnt even on the bench against everton.
Is he still struggling with his fitness as SAF said he was doing extra fitness during the international games. Or is his hamstring still playing up.

Will Wayne play you reckon? He definetly needs game time before the Chelsea match, so a seccond half appearance not out of the question?

Wazza might get 45 minutes if we are lucky, Fergie will be cautious with him, I would like to see Saha up front with Tevez in his preferred role but u never know, that fergie is a wily scotsman.

"I cannot see SAF playing such an attacking line up. He should also instruct the wingers to STAY on the wings.."
Attacking? It's a deep 4-4-2.

SAF will want to give nothing away and will pack the midfield. For me the big loss is Hargo, Fletch and Oshea. I feel there injuries is worrying as we dont have adequate cover in the heart of midfield. The so called 'water carrier' is missing from our team and I for one am worried - But we have got Tevez who will hassle any person in possesion and I would love to see him and Saha but im not sure if SAF will go this route.

Cant wait for this matchup.
VDS Brown Rio Vidic Evra Ronaldo Carrick Scholes Nani Saha Rooney
Back four shouldnt be changed as they have been amazing all year. Ronaldo and Nani deserve the chance to face their old team plus Giggs has been shit this season so the less he plays the better...imo.
Saha and Rooney proved a good partnership last season and they both need match fitness plus Tevez has played a lot of games already.

I think SAF will start with Giggs as he provides cover for Evra. Not certain how good Nani is with tracking back.

I agree with your 4-4-2 formation but I somehow lost the confidence in Fergie shacking off his "fear of Europe" after 20 years! But how can you say something like that about Giggs? I'm not protecting him because he's an United hero but because he's yet to be used in his proper position as a left winger in a proper 4-4-2. Somehow anyone has lost confidence in him being able to play this position. He showed that he's physically able to do it in his las game for Wales when he ran circles around the Czechs for 88 minutes (at the end of a very long season). So it's Giggs over Nani for me!
