Wow, I feel absolutely heartbroken. Out of all the day's to play the worst they possibly can they pick today. They shold of had either Carrick or Hargreaves in from the start not Anderson. But its over lets just look ahead, United never die I still feel we can win the league. Lets hope Blackburn upset Arsenal tomorrow.

Sil, you can't say that today was not about winning or losing. No matter what the occassion, 3 points were at stake. Just because it was a special occassion doesn't mean you get extra points on how you played. At the end of the day (or the season, rather), only the result matters. It might have been a shit match, but if we had won a gritty 1-0, I personally would not have minded. Maybe the whole uniqueness of the day got to some of the players' heads. I can't confirm of course. Poor crossing, misplaced passes ... what cost us today. Since I was born, I'd never seen City beat us at home ... until today. I'd never seen City do the double over us ... until today. What the team has to do now is react positively. And what better way to do so than against Le Arse in the Cup? Umm you might want to reread what I said, as I didn't say today wasn't about winning or losing, I said today wasn't about winning or losing the league. Because it wasn't, we didn't lose the league because we lost today. I hate losing to City more than anything, hate losing to them and I hate losing to the dippers, but that was not the worst thing to me today, it never was going to be. Today was the players chance the way they should be, by playing beautiful football the Busby way, and we couldn't do that, hell we didn't even try. So I'm sorry if I don't give a shit about the league right now at this moment, because it's a competition that goes over the whole season, and is not won or lost in one match. Today was about the Babes, and we should have done a hell of a lot of better job. And if the boys can't do it for something as special as those who lost their lives fifty years ago, a big part in our history that played part in creating the team we are today, when can they do it? I still think that we can win the league, but I am going to be disappointed about today for a long while. And not just because of the result, but because our boys just didn't give a flying fuck.

Over the course of a season you win some loose some, today was a bad day.Had a feeling Citeh would win this we were not focused on the match itself. The players let us down today and need a slating but they need to forget about it and move on.Lets see if they have enough character to get back to winning ways, this is a very good Utd team im sure they will....

Why worry? Bad performances happen, next match we'll play electric and with Rooney in the team nobody will be able to stop us winning the league!

And sadly this kid from the other side of the world was our most passionate player. Oh apart from the slightly older lad from Argentina..

I've been looking for post-match interviews with SAF or the players. Just one on the BBC website with Carlos Queiroz and one with Carrick at manutd.com. It would be great if someone - anyone - could come out and explain what happened. Where is our captain today? The fans are owed an explanation.

So now you want to get into a bitch slap about who was the worst player? For fuck's sake, they were all terrible. That was my POINT. No I was wondering if you were basing today's match on Ronaldo not being a big match player, which is seemed like you did. You didn't say he was just terrible today, nor did you say that the others weren't big match players. That's what I had a problem with because in my opinion Ronaldo tried in the first half, he made runs and he tried getting the ball up there. He faded to the level of the rest of them pretty quickly, but he tried at the beginning, hence why I think it's unfair to say what you did about him when the likes of Scholes and Rio looked like they did as well. I know Ronaldo has got a tag amongst some fans as not playing well in the big matches, maybe he's had bad timing for us because he's always turned up for Portugal did extremely well in the the big matches for them. I do think that he needs to work harder at some things, but does not deserved to be singled out on that specific account today, because he was not the worst one out there, and there were people with more experience and football knowledge who had worse performances. i was questioning your comments, I have no interest in having a "bitch fight" with you. I didn't make a personal attack on you, I was QUESTIONING what you said, as I have done with two other people as well. My apologies for getting personal and foul-mouthed. Everyone was reacting with disappointment today. It's probably never a good idea to post right after a match like today.

Shite performance, shite atmosphere.
For 95% of our fans inside OT today, they may as well have not been there.
25 minutes to go, 2-0 down, team playing shite. We need everybody in there to be getting behind the team but no.
The City fans out sang us all day, you'd have never thought it was a derby in there today, nor it was the 50th anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster.
A small percentage of United fans who go to OT are intent on making an atmosphere, getting behind the team the rest of them just sit there twiddling their thumbs doing fuck all but moaning.
We were shite today, I'm not hiding that fact but it was a derby, the 50th anniversary and yet for large parts our fans were fuckin' quiet. That's what has pissed me off more than anything today.
As for the game, Anderson was yet again our best player. Ferdinand was unusually wasteful, Vidic was all over the place, Ronaldo was quiet, Tevez dropped too deep and we had no one in the sixteen yard box.
We missed Rooney and Evra but there's no excuses today. We were shit.

That was shambolic, worst I've seen our first team play since we lost 4-1 to 'boro. Tevez and Carrick are the only ones I would even give 6/10. We lost the battle but we'll win the war. Look on the bright side, our next league game is Newcastle.

Humiliating to hear the City fans singing 'we can see you sneaking out' on tv. That was on about 75 minutes.

Me and about 10 blokes were only ones singing within throwin distance of me... And I've got a good throw lol.

I understand what you are saying, but if Sir Alex comes out in the press tomorrow and blames the loss on the atmosphere . . . . . . . I mean, how much inspiration did the boys need? We had bagpipes, we had the silence, we had mascots with dead men's names on their backs, we had the fifty years, we had DVDs, we had the kit, we had speeches, we had Sir Bobby, we had other survivors and family members in the stands. I think the crowd was literally shocked. It wasn't how this day was supposed to go. And once it started to fall apart, it was like a house of cards. Because it wasn't one or two players not holding up their end, it was everyone. That's what I found so stunning.
