Britain is now third world so I really should be taking the piss I'd rather live in Oz TBH I love loads of countries. If I had my way I'd live a year in a country and move on. They've all got their pro's and cons. My lottery dream. I pretty much have enjoyed every place I have been and wished I could stay longer. The most eye opening thing about travel is really how decent people are pretty much everywhere. Obviously bad eggs are everywhere, but for the most part people everywhere are a lot more similar than you would imagine. Treat people with respect and 99 times out of 100, they will give it back. Leave for Costa Rica in two weeks though, I hear it is a real dump so my opinion may change Beach for my hotel:

Going deep sea fishing, rafting all that stuff and getting married. Should be fun.

My local, two minutes down the road. Sea and palm trees behind me. The view from my local back in the UK was generally some bird being fingered in an alley whilst a dog shits in the street.

Maldives won,but I really want to try Costa Rica.

Now we have a face behind the name. I always had an impression of Daz looking like DDG due to the avataar that you are having for ages.

Direct flights from San Diego to San Jose are pretty reasonable, so Costa Rica won out. Maldives look amazing, defo on my list.

You'll love the Maldives If I went again I'd definitely do a PADI course here and do some scuba diving out there - if not just snorkelling is amazing - get yourself a cheap underwater camera (I got one for $20) - the island I went to was Thudufushi - run by Italians and there are dozens of resorts out there now to suit all tastes and activities I wish I had pics but the ex-wife has them all (along with most of my cash)

Certainly got a lot of cons in Britain Prisons are overflowing If I had the cash I'd go and live on a remote island off Scotland or Ireland ... as long as I could get cable you know, one of the major things I look at when looking to move (Rent or Buy (every 6 months )) is the availability and speed of broadband - I can live without TV
