shit attitude, injury prone, nah. Good player though but we seriously rack up too many wingers as is. Now that team-mate of his, Cabaye? or is it Tiote? Cabaye would probably improve our midfield, but that isn't saying anything. The Tiote sort is the one we really need.

I'd not mind one bit if we throw 15 mil at them in Jan and see if they'll hand over Tiote, or if there's a bit of wiggle room, you?

All for it mate. Christ knows it'll be 2 or 3 years before Tunnicliffe gets a shot.

I don't think there would be a need to play he and Carrick together. IMO he would be taking Carrick's place.

not only that but bestie also wants tunnicliffe in the side. i wonder if he thinks you can field 15 players sometimes.

As previously stated, I can't see us giving Tunnicliffe an honest shout in the first team for another couple of seasons. As have said for most of the summer, if Tunnicliffe was going to be playing, then a Tiote sort of player wouldn't be a neccessary signing.
@ sleel - I'd have Carrick out. Don't care how good he is, he's not giving us what we need so he's out. As has been shown with Berbatov, which basically everyone agreed with.

carrick out off the back of a good season? we are only 3 games in and he's been played out of position for 2 of them, ferguson's already talked him up as a key figure this year and i think you joined me in knocking hodgson for not taking him to the euros, so what's caused this u-turn?

As said: If he isn't giving us what we need, then he has to go. Berbatov is the precedent. Carrick is a good, good player, but he's passive. Both by the definition of the word and literally. Doesn't drive the team on from midfield, doesn't win the ball back. Content to screen, whether by personal gameplan or dictated tactic.
Also, what's best for England is totally different to what's best for United. Carrick deserved to go to the Euro's a lot more than basically anyone else.

yeah carrick is those things. can be passive, a bit pedestrian. as for being a driving force well he's not that player and definitely not in the role that he plays for us, the player next to him should be more of a dynamic driving force from box to box. i'd love to see carrick play next to wilshere. i think that would be a very good midfield.

I think that if Carrick isn't going to be that dynamic player considering the quality we have in Kagawa and Cleverley, he's out.
Cleverley and Wilshere behind Kagawa. Now there's a midfield.

My point is, what Carrick can do and what he is exceptionally good at, isn't what we require. He doesn't fit the style of football we want to play. Too slow, too ponderous.
So he has got to go. Forget Cleverley for a minute, I'm talking about Carrick's place and role in the team.

tell ya what would be interesting. if i could ask you to play gaffer for a minute. i know you are happy with who we have signed so they are a given. on top of that tiote is available, you have the funds etc, a player you've talked about as the player we need. you don't have to sell berbo, you can field tunnicliffe, blah blah blah.
what's your best team?
