Its my understanding that we havent actually signed that Chilean kid yet according to the united website anyway. 6 months ago we were all saying we need to improve the squad, now were being linked to players that could very well do that people are questioning it, make your minds up. Also please dont say that weve got the players there because we clearly havent otherwise wed be sitting on our 20th title.
For me Fergie can bring in whoever he wants and as many as he wants......ASLONG as they makes a difference to our squad, improve it and we get our titles back.

. Also please dont say that weve got the players there because we clearly havent otherwise wed be sitting on our 20th title. We have an excellent squad. But for the worst injury crisis ever we would have won the league. However I agree we were lacking in maybe one or two positions. Kagawa's signing will go a long way towards solving some problems. Personally, I think Lewa would be a luxury signing. There is at least one more area in the squad that needs reinforcement first.

You cant go just on the injuries, We didnt have next to none when we were 8 points clear, Bar Vidic being out we pretty much fucked the league up for ourselves. You could also say th same thing about Tevez, If he wasnt dropped would city have won it earlier, theres hundreds of possibilities, however I feel that for the past 2 seasons at least our squad has been poor. Other than CB, the wings and now GK there isnt a position is say is strong enough. Midfield weve always had that void since Ronaldo left that weve never filled. Centre Midfield well that speaks for itself and up front youve got Rooney who tends to wander to cover other peoples positions and Wellbeck who needs half a dozen chances to put one away so theres always room for improvement and until the squad is league champions were naive to say otherwise.

For me only midfield and maybe left back are problem areas. We've sorted one out. Sort of. I think you're a tad harsh on Welbz. Considering his age and the fact it was his first season at the club he did quite well I think. His partnership with Rooney is going to blossom. I said it earlier - shades of Yorke and Cole there. Chicha was very unlucky with injuries and fatigue. Was stellar in his first season. We were talking about him being a 30 million quid player. There's definitely quality there. As for the league - the last few games were calamitous. Had nothing to do with the squad. Rafael switched off in the Everton game and the team selection and tactics lost us the derby.

Dont get me wrong I do like the lad, Im not slating him as such, I think hes a cracking player and I hope all he does is improve and maybe I am being slightly harsh on himbut he needs to build on that now but still think we could do with a decent striker to add to the mix, If we bring in a striker who scores 15-20+ then im certainly not going to knock it.
Although I have just read an SS that Dortmunds coach has said hes not for sale at any price, so whatever rumours there were seem to have been squashed.

Can't see the need for this signing if we play just one upfront, Rooney won't have to drop so deep with kagawa in the team. We do need more midfield. Signings as that's where we have had problems

I took Smuda's comments with a grain of salt as well. He basically said Dortmund were gonna sell three of their best players having already lost Kagawa. Somehow I just can't see that happening. However...and this is a strong possibility - those transfers could be scheduled for next summer. Maybe we have an agreement with Dortmund to let them have Lewa for another season. Smuda never said when

Its just as likely their coach was massaging their egos before the big opening match.

Would rather have Danny than the Pole. Give Danny a couple of season's and he will be banging them in for fun.

as long as he can have those legs of his sorted out. Often last season he seemed to suddenly have "Baby Giraffe" legs just before he had to take a goal shot.

This won't happen. Dortmund won't sell him this season.

Yup , they would be mad to let him go without having adequate replacements. Klopp has decent command over transfers there. He is also very ambitious. He will never let Lewy leave this season.

Lewa has got 2 years left on his Dortmund contract, and he is in form. so i suppose Dortmund will demand at least 30 million for him, maybe more if he has a good Euro tourney. we dont need him imo since we have Welbeck, Chicha, and Rooney competing for the same spot, assuming we play 4-2-3-1. also, young and bright W. Keane will be back later much later, and i think signing Lewa will pretty much kill Keanes chance of becoming a United regular.
maybe we are just keeping Lewa in our shortlist for next summer in case we need a striker, because with one year left on his contract i think Dortmund will be willing to less and not lose someone of his ability and transfer value on a free in 2 years time.
