The sun twist the knife even more now.
Apparently the worst could be feared and Rooney could be out for 2 months.
They never give up ill give them that.

In my opinion, Wayne Rooney will be with us for the long term. Exactly and I for one will be behind him the whole way. People expect too much. He scored 35 goals last season but that's not good enough they want 50 just in the league followed by 10 hat tricks in the champions league otherwise hes not fit to wear the shirt. Loads of utter bollocks if you ask me. Within the next few seasons he will smash the all time united scoring record. ( yes I know hes shite isnt he). There no denying he wont do it. The good thing about Wazza is its not all about scoring for him, he does so much more. Tbh there were times last season when you would expect a world class player like Wazza to stand up. Ie. Basel away, City, Bilbao and he didn't. For over 200K a week you would expect him to perform better than he did in some games last season. In saying that he is our best player and shouldn't be sold at any cost.

Our midfield cost us that tie by failing completely against their midfield.

majorred, he does have dips in form now and again, most players do. I'm not going to slate Rooney for that.
In my opinion, if we got rid of a player with Rooney's ability, we'd need to have our heads examined. At the end of the day, he's world class.
Also, i find this opinion that he's over-weight etc, etc...laughable.
To some United fans, not only has he had the audacity to have had a dip in form, but quite clearly Uniteds dieticans haven't a clue.
He plays for United, he should be majestic every game. Bollocks.

This is my problem, Rooney gets away with being poor by his standards, but nobody says anything because he scored goals. Yes, that's a strikers job, but Rooney isn't just our striker, is he? He's supposed to be the talisman, the spark, and the leader in the opposition half. He doesn't give us that in the biggest games (anymore). I think that's what sleel was getting at. It's how I view Rooney anyway.

Rooney is not a world class player.
World class players are, generally, two footed and can control a ball first time without it flying off his instep 3 yards in-front of him.

I can understand Rooney being slagged of by Media and ABU's and even saying that his injury is just a scratch or he should just get on and man up cos well they are ABU's and Cunts so don't really expect much from them with a wind tunnel running in their heads.
Yes Rooney's form dips from time to time. Yes he did put out a couple of season's back Yes he isn't what we was when we signed him.
But bloody hell he has given everything he can for our club(IMHO), played out of positions , been the second fiddle till Ronaldo left and carried us for two seasons. If he wasn't injured chances are we could won against Bayern instead of losing to them in the champions league.
He played in Mid Field, plays in defense, on the wings wherever he has been asked. Even in the Everton game he was at LB helping out in defense when Evra was half way up in Midfield( I am not taking a shot at Paddy Jim), what more should he do. Generally when he can't score or is not up to the mark he tries way too much to help and influence the game, running all across the pitch to get the ball and start our attack again.
WE all complain that the Glazers have dried us up and the money the took out could have been used for transfers and that we are missing out on Good players simply because we are no longer able to splash cash ( this for a club which broke British Transfer Records) while he could have done it another way still wasn't it exactly what he said( ploy or not that still needs to found out).
WE sell Rooney for crazy money, what chances are there that we can find a replacement or that we will get that money to find one. We are still waiting on the Ronaldo replacement and we are nowhere near that.
Rooney needs to find his foot - yes, and hopefully with RvP and kagawa coming and this injury will help him do that. But he needs to stay with this club.

Rooney is not a world class player. World class players are, generally, two footed and can control a ball first time without it flying off his instep 3 yards in-front of him. To be fair, I think Vidic is a World-class defender (if not the best); so the definition for "World-class" is respective to the position we talk about. In this case, for a forward, I 100% agree. I don't class Rooney as a "World-class" player. But then again, it is very rare to find "World-class" players and rightly so. Rooney is a good forward - the "best" forward England has got, but not the "best" forward in the world at what he does or should do. Bare minimum I expect from him is to score goals from the excellent deliveries and build-up play from the rest of the team. As is the bare minimum of what you should ask from any forward / striker whom you stick up front. Another thing is to remember that we have excellent wingers, and attacking midfield. The goals aren't individual efforts... it is one thing to score from good set-plays and build-up, and another to create goals yourself. Apart from that... when he's on form, he's great at drilling balls into channels. He's not an outstanding dribbler by far. He's good at passing. Like Nani, his "skill level" or "performance level" depends on his form. Decently consistent / inconsistent. Still think I would accept any bids >£60million. If there are no bids, then he stays and competes with the rest of the team like every player. No one in United is or should be guaranteed a starting line-up without proving himself capable. He's not unsellable to me. Not calling for his head either. Just stating how I feel about Rooney's ability.

That's your opinion. I'd respectfully disagree. If a poll was taken of the top strikers in world football, are people genuinely suggesting that Rooney wouldn't be rated as world-class striker? Of course he would, he'd be in the top ten. What's with the nit-picking regarding his control of the ball? The majority of the time he controls the ball well. There are vaunted players out there who are nowhere near Rooneys work rate, heading ability, and overall strike-rate. Also, if we offered Rooney to the Real Madrid's, Barca's, god forbid Man City's or PSG's of the world tomorrow, in the January transfer window or next summer, they'd bite our arm off. Why? Because Rooney's a world class striker. The guy is a great player. We should be down on bended knee thanking the almightly he's a Manchester United player.

I think Rooney would walk into any side in the world, and that alone would be my definition of world class.
