The price seems to be going down with each post. From £25m a year ago, down to £15m rumour last few weeks and then £10m and now £8m? £8m for a Creative Dutch International MIDFIELDER. Even if he was 30 years old, I'd say yes. Put him on the bench, whatever. £8m. Steal. and before you know it it'd be a swap deal with him and Ando. Quality has he is and may do us good for another 3 years or so shouldn't we be looking at those who can do a job for more than 2 years. We buy him it'd mean that we most likely won't do so for another 4-5 years clinging and hoping our MF can do it while every other team snaps up good talent. Lets just pass upIf he is that cheap it's got to be worth a punt, but we need to off load some players and promote some youth and put them under his wing... Which means actually playing them as well...

galatasaray have made it to the knockout stages of the champions league, which is a huge achievement for them, and sneijder played a big part in that, they won't let him go in january. i don't think he would be a good signing anyway, too injury prone and not a centre mid, if we are going to play an attacking mid/shadow striker in centre mid then why not just put rooney or kagawa there...

Going by the way DM seems to have used Rooney and preferred him over Kags ,he seems to want a player the kind who will get the ball and spray it around to the wings or thru the center to the box rather than a dribbler so wouldn't rule out signing WS completely but it wouldn't be the big signing we want to so desperately make for DM as well as Ed's sake

He is a little old (29) but signing him and Falcao would be an instant fix to get back to the top. I know some would raise their eyebrows at Falcao but we need more firepower, I dont think Welbeck will ever carry us.

Aye, he only has three in the last three playing as an actual striker.

Also, with the # of assists Rooney has, Kagz will find it almost impossible to fit into the starting line up. The only way he will get a look-in, is, as and when Rooney is shipped out. Sneijder is a quickfix for me, but I will pay 10 mil to not play Giggsy in the middle of the park

Think we can safely rule out Falcoa ,we have ebough attacking options and seeing as Rooney isn't gonna be going anywhere just yet i think we need to press on with Midfielders and possibly Defenders/wingers purchase. But has DM said most of the players we may be after or want who can improve us from the go wouldn't be either available or most likely want to make a move ahead of WC. Ideal the i suppose is to wait it out and get these targets quickly wrapped up just before WC starts - tall ask of Ed and DM but it should happen given that in the last couple of matches Ed seems to have perfected his "Evil Stare of Submission" which will be used when all else fails in persuading or clinching the deal(s)

I think people would expect this to be an RVP type signing... heres my comparison:
1- He is not at the prime of his career, RVP came in at his prime and adjusted instantly, he is EPL proven also 2- RVP came to United to join a winning recipe and the best chance at silverware, WS going to Gala was strictly due to money, it was one of the only clubs willing to pay his massive demands... which I think arent in our best interests.
No to WS.

If you could combine Welbecks speed and Chicharitos finishing then you might have something, But I just dont have the fath in him the way you guys do. Young just recently has two goals so a couple of goals dont change my mind. I think Falcao is one of the top players on the planet and if I was one of the top premiere league teams I would get him.
