Does that mean Wenger was constantly mismanaging RVP when he was with Arsenal? After all, he got injured a lot there. More likely, it's a case if a guy who has gotten injured his entire career...getting injured again. Do you agree? Either is plausible. It could be a coincidence that he jsut happened to get injured repeatedly at the start of the season. Or it could be that the dutch journalists, who claimed they had some information from the dutch national team camp, are right about their assumptions. Neither of us have any idea, and have no power to influence the situation in any way, shape or form. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

He didn't get injured until end of November, right? Or also before that? Don't remember him missing games before then.

Does anyone actually believe this tripe?
RVP wants to return to the club who treated him like shit when he left and who will slowly but surely be dropping down the table (fixtures), as usual, after he's won a league title with United?

No but i'd say it'd be a fair bet if it was to do with so much praising of Just one Individual while not acknowledging the others. also he did come out and say that DM needs to be given time to be successful - whether it was a Club's PR drive or just his own thoughts is up for debate. You could argue tho that with Arsenal atleast he was guaranteed CL football every season. I'd like him to stay , i want him to stay and would love if he stayed -- just not so sure that's the same with DM

At this point people will believe anything if it reflects poorly on Moyes

Like believing the reigning Champions are somehow mired in 7th by January, playing shite football, not getting results, been smashed away at their local rivals, sacked a successful backroom staff of serial winners for novices and middlers, and out of both domestic cups?
I know, it's a ridiculous suggestion, but people will believe anything that reflects poorly on Moyes, yeah?

Wouldn't surprise me if he did leave unless Moyes fucks off (not to Arsenal though, abroad), hence why they club are badly trying to get Rooney to sign up to a new contract. Fuck Moyes and Rooney both off, problem solved.

He's almost 31, yet to fully shake off this season's injuries and we paid a big sum for him, not exactly screaming out for new suitors with 3 years left on his contract.
There are so many good strikers out there and after what he's said in the past I'd be absolutely shocked if this is at all true. Sensationalist media bullshit if ever there was an example.
Again, bestie, we've been playing shite football for more than 3 years, it's our inability to grind out ugly wins from draws where we've been poor, coupled with our same old creative shortcomings associated with playing an outdated formation with positions that have either evolved since the 20th century or have been replaced.
RVP dug us out of so many holes last season, people seem to forget that we didn't play that well & if you go through the matchday threads over the past few seasons you'll quickly be reminded how dire and predictable our play has been.

I am the last person who needs it pointing out that our football has been utterly uninspiring for years. But winning through the shite helps a whole lot. We aren't even scraping draws anymore, it's become an embarrassment.

You would have thought after all the years of taking a beating by SAF and a winning team they would love to return the favour, but they haven't. I am not sure what's worse this morning, reconciling how far we have fallen or being ignored as a lost cause by the British press!!

I don't think RVP is happy, and I don't blame him in many ways, but there's no chance he'll go back to Arsenal. It'll be abroad if at all.

Especially in Europe.

^^^ well England better get used to the current state of affairs for the next 18 months at least, I dont see DD leaving before then.
as for the topic of this thread, i dont think will go back to Le Arse, but i do get the feeling he wants out. Public pronouncements cant be trusted in this industry, so i place little stock in them. so no matter how many times he says he's ok with DD, i wont buy it until i see his on-field demeanor change.
what is not under debate is that he has had a broken promise from the guy that he came to the club to play for (SAF saying that he's stay beyond one year), that he cant work with the current training regime (hence he's started to do his personalized training scheme, after being 'over trained' by DD at the start of the season), and that his general demeanor when fit has been pretty much dour when on the field.
hearing us being linked to the caliber of player such as Cavani, along with the Rooney renewal rumors makes me believe the club are preparing for a major striker leaving, which isn't Rooney.

Not surprised by the rumour - it fits in to the narrative after the early season stuff about training. I don't think that there is necessarily anything in it though, at least not to Arsenal, perhaps one of the sugar daddy Arab clubs but not to Arsenal.
