This morning it looks like RVP wants away to Italy and he wants to go badly enough to lose £10million bonus. After yesterday's performance it's pretty clear he is in a strange place, his play was horrible to watch. Quite a change since this time last year.

If he is to go then use him as a bargaining tool for Pogba or Vidal.

I'd still rather a happy and firing van Persie over both Rooney and Moyes any day of the week.
EDIT: Robin van Persie is also a vastly superior striker to our alleged target replacement Cavani, so that would be a backwards move.

I have criticised Tom Cleverly on here for what I see as a lack of star quality. However he gives 100% every day. I will not afford Van persie any excuse for not giving 100%.

DO you think we'd deny again if say the rents were to come asking for him in the summer. If Selling Rooney was bad , must say selling Persie would be catastrophic. Its essentially handing them the Title before the first kick has been taken IMO.
DOn't think its about Money so whatever it is everything needs to be done to ensure that he is with us and happy for his contract term.
We'd need him more than ever if we are to get back into top 4 again and Cavani ain;t an angel exacyly either. I'd be happy somewhat of it was maybe Costa or we went for youth and El Shaarawy but it ain't gonna happen

It completely baffles me who anyone, particularly Moyes and our board, can rate Wayne fucking Rooney as a more valuable footballing asset to our club than Robin van Persie. I literally cannont comprehend it.
It'd be like me suggesting a fiver is worth more to you than a twenty quid note.

Commercial value and that's the only things board cares. 11 goals and 4 assists in 16 league starts yet RVP has been a disgrace, sure. We have PHC who after all is a paragon of virtue That RVP is super frustrated doesn't take a genius to figure. Gibberish to suggest tackles were to get himself sent off. Spud cunt has never lost his head or acted petulant, has he? Most scouse games he was a total liability and on the verge of imploding, so he has also been a disgrace? RVP was always a hot headed, sort of dirty player.

Yes, he should act more professionally esp with those ill advised (albeit true) remarks after Olympiakos debacle but PHC set the precedent.
Sell RVP, Chicha and we did be like renties or arse. All the talent behind but without a world class finisher, won't score enough goals. PHC will eat and crap money for the remainder of his contract, of that I'm certain.

Rooney should have had a 3 game retrospective ban for it, no question.

Desire, attitude, commitment etc. Spud who is supposed to play No 10 doesn't link up but RVP who is a striker is criticized for playing in forward positions? The hypocrisy and agenda posting is unfucking believable.

At least RVP had had the whole first half to get worked up, this happened after about 4 minutes if I remember rightly?

In his time with Arse, RVP played with worse dross than ours. He wasn't bitching and single handedely carried them to 4th. I highly doubt there is an issue with anyone bar PHC which is totally justified. There might be a sense of betrayal and whatever his feelings are, yes, should carry himself better.
RVP for me is a crucial part of the rebuild and selling him will dig a gigantic hole. Even last season, he wasn't close to what he is capable of and that is scary. Can we instead acknowledge that it's the fucking mgr and the ridiculous system that needs addressing. Peeps are kidding if they think PHC can be trusted to deliver consistently over a season.

Both Rooney and Moyes are to blame. Moyes for bumming Rooney and Rooney for buying Moyes' hype/acting the |C*nt of the Rovers. Bit of a circle really.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie wants to extend his contract at Old Trafford.
The striker, 30, has been dogged by claims he does not get on with manager David Moyes and it has even been suggested he may leave in the summer.
However, the Dutchman has insisted he is content at Old Trafford.
"The truth is I'm very happy here," he said. "I signed for four years and I'd be delighted to stay longer, beyond the next two years I have on my contract."
It has also been suggested that Van Persie has not been impressed by Moyes training methods.
However, speaking in an interview conducted for the match programme, United Review , ahead of Sunday's encounter with old rivals Liverpool, he spoke in glowing terms about the manager's methods.
"There is no doubt I'm learning new things and progressing with David Moyes," he said. "The sessions we have on the training ground are fantastic and I'm learning a lot from them every day.
"There is mutual respect between us and the work environment is actually good. He really wants things to work and I want the same."
Van Persie has admitted the huge amount of debate about his future is partly down to his limited public statements.
Comments he made about his own performance in the 2-0 defeat by Olympiakos earlier this month were interpreted as criticism of Moyes' tactics.
Van Persie's body language when he was replaced at West Brom on Saturday did not impress either, especially given Baggies boss Pepe Mel was not alone in believing the forward was fortunate to avoid a red card.
And it was Ajax assistant-manager Ronald de Boer who claimed Van Persie would leave this summer if he did not feel Moyes' squad had been strengthened sufficiently.
"You can count my interviews this season on one hand, so maybe when I do speak people want to turn it into something sensational," the forward said.
"I don't mind if my performances get dissected and people criticise what I've done on the pitch. A lot of those opinions and criticisms may actually be right.
"What I need to address are the situations when people are taking it upon themselves to think for me, make assumptions, or interpret things as if they are me. Last time I checked my head was still attached to my body. I'm the only one who knows exactly what I'm feeling.
"I probably only see about 10 per cent of what's written about me, but the things I have read recently aren't based on the truth.
"Talk about a tackle that was too late. I don't mind. But it goes too far when people start suggesting, amongst other things, that I have a bad understanding with the manager. That's not true at all."
Van Persie insists his comments are delivered with a real understanding of Moyes' approach.
"Over the last few years I've started to look more closely at the way coaches work," he said.
"I've taken a real interest in all the methods they use. I can tell you Moyes' sessions and the things he says in his team meetings are spot-on.
"I really enjoy working under him and I'm absolutely convinced things will pick up and we'll turn it around."
