^^^ well England better get used to the current state of affairs for the next 18 months at least, I dont see DD leaving before then. as for the topic of this thread, i dont think will go back to Le Arse, but i do get the feeling he wants out. Public pronouncements cant be trusted in this industry, so i place little stock in them. so no matter how many times he says he's ok with DD, i wont buy it until i see his on-field demeanor change. what is not under debate is that he has had a broken promise from the guy that he came to the club to play for (SAF saying that he's stay beyond one year), that he cant work with the current training regime (hence he's started to do his personalized training scheme, after being 'over trained' by DD at the start of the season), and that his general demeanor when fit has been pretty much dour when on the field. hearing us being linked to the caliber of player such as Cavani, along with the Rooney renewal rumors makes me believe the club are preparing for a major striker leaving, which isn't Rooney. I really have no clue what you're talking about. You're reaching.

Ah, forgot about July. Are you sure he was injured playing against Arsenal? He played like a madman, throwing himself into tackles and sprinting back. I agree about the celebration against them. Their fans chant about him being a rapist; he's not going back.

You're reaching. the forum is about opinions....... i get that you dont like psychoanalysis of players, but just to 'fact check' my hypothesis take a look at RVP of last year, compared to the RVP of early season. (i'll not say later as you know he's been injured for a while) he seemed a happy chappy all round last season. from the very off this season there were 'signs' that all was not well. also note that most of the rumors start from his home country, generally where the foreign players feel most freely about talking about potentially thorny domestic football issues. but maybe im reaching....

Don't believe RvP would want a move away at 31, but I do believe he is not having enough service up front this season because of the dreadful football we have been playing, and therefore, he is unhappy.
I believe most United players will be unhappy about being 7th.

Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest that you couldn't voice your opinion or anything like that. Feel free, obviously. I'm just not sure about it. I'd guess that most players are unhappy this season for the simple reason that we suck, but they could also be unhappy for other reasons.

Didn't Van Persie only join us after Fergie assured him he wasn't retiring anytime soon?

Didn't Van Persie only join us after Fergie assured him he wasn't retiring anytime soon? Yeah but then Cathy's sister died and that was a game changer for sir Alex.

Yeh I understand that from SAF's perspective but it must of been a tough pill to swallow for Van Persie.

Their fans chant about him being a rapist; he's not going back. His toe was broken or bruised. He played after getting injections which then saw him sidelined for a good spell. When his toe was healed his thigh tore up. It was different injuries, but resulted in him being out for a long time.

If there is anyone at this club that is happy, then they need there head checked. Our form is absolutely piss poor, our strategies are something of a U10 match. Like someone said above me, We lost seasoned staff for middle table know nothings that aren't cutting the mustard. Moyes let his ego get in the way when Fergie said he should use his coaches and decided to fire them all for his own.
IMO he never eased into this job, he walked in and cleaned house of everything that had Fergie's fingerprints on it besides the squad.

Like believing the reigning Champions are somehow mired in 7th by January, playing shite football, not getting results, been smashed away at their local rivals, sacked a successful backroom staff of serial winners for novices and middlers, and out of both domestic cups? I know, it's a ridiculous suggestion, but people will believe anything that reflects poorly on Moyes, yeah? I am sure if Fergie would have been given a Ctrl^Z (undo) option, he would surely exercise it now for Moyes.

Latest rumour is that Wenger met with RVP's agent last month. Don't know if that's accurate at all, but to be honest it really wouldn't surprise me.
RVP came here expecting to spend a few seasons under Fergie. If you don't believe that was a massive part of him leaving le Arse, you're deluded (just look at his body language last season and compare it to now).
One season under Fergie and now RVP finds himself in the footballing stone ages with a manager who, aptly, has all the personality of a rock. I actually wouldn't be shocked if he wants out.
