I am not really sure. A fit RvP will definitely fire. Last season he was affected by the long stay at the wc. Didn't really get a much rest. And the season before he started well, but the Moyes effect sunk in. Beside, if we negotiate for a new striker after selling him, the selling club will know that we have to get one quality striker desperately and will ask top dollar for it.
I will always be thankful to RvP for 2012/13. However, he suffered with Fergie's retirement and so did his football, the last two seasons weren't good for him. It was the right decision, Robin wants to be a starter and Fenerbahçe can offer him that, I wish him the best at Turkey. Great guy, but it was time to say goodbye and give United some fresh air at the attack.
"United’s flag is deepest red, it shrouded all our Munich dead. Before their limbs grew stiff and cold, their heart’s blood dyed it’s ev’ry fold. Then raise United’s banner high, beneath it’s shade we’ll live and die. So keep the faith and never fear."
I'm really fond of him as a person, seems like a great guy to have around the squad, but I don't think anyone can deny he's in decline. 31 isn't past it of course but you're not going to improve or be as good as you were 2-3 years ago, and that is exacerbated by his history of injuries, which will have taken their toll. With LvG preferring to play with a lone striker (Rooney) it's not going to do Robin any good, he needs weekly games to see out his career, not sporadic first-team appearances. He's not the main man at United anymore and a move to Turkey would give him that status again and I reckon they'll get a solid couple of seasons from him.
I'll be really sad to see him go but I think it's best for both parties.
I agree. I think he got our club, and will go on to be associated with us more than Arsenal. He has shown nothing but fondness for us and I really hope whatever the outcome, he has a fantastic ending to his career. I will never forget that Sprint towards fergie and the embrace that followed. Oh Robin van Persie. Cheers fella.

cjjagzmoni: Pogba is a good lad minus the showboating..I think at Juventus he had Older players like Pirlo,Chiellini,Marchisio,Bonucci who shout and screams at him so he was more serious at Juve ,We dont have those type of leaders at United to caution him.
