One of my all time favorite Van Persie moments for United:

All the best RvP. I hope he tears apart Turkey. Will cheer all his goals (obviously not against us), especially against the noisy Galatasaray.

Ignore Rooney's playground touch before the second goal, and enjoy van Persie scoring a hat-trick to dig us out of a jam. (Not for the first time either.)
Basically like having an instant win button in that first season with us, and although never recovered from the shock of only having one season with Fergie he still came up with big performances and big goals. I'd say the right decision is letting him go, considering form and age/injury, but I like the guy. Hope he destroys the Super Lig. Longer term, I'd like to see him associated with the club in some way.

But has there been an actual announcement regarding his departure? It would be sad indeed. One of the few world class players we have, and he is off.

Nothing on the Official site yet but LVG is unveiling Depay in a press conference today so maybe it might be mentioned in that.....and maybe more news about something?

Anyone seen anything about van Persie saying he has 'been betrayed'? Apparently one of the papers was running with that one.

One of the true 'impact signings' in the PL era. With all the hype surrounding signings in the modern game, RVP was one that actually came off exactly according to script. Pretty much landed #20 on his own for us, like a man possessed. Sad to see his decline in the last couple of seasons- think it's the right move for both player and club.
Will always be remembered fondly I reckon, despite the anti-climax to his United career. If indeed the LVG era is the start of a 'Dutch influence' on our playing style, I reckon there's definitely a role for Robin to play with United youth in the future. Could do a lot worse than having the likes of him and Ruud teaching our young lads how to finish on top of dominating possession.
Was the last kick in the teeth for Wenger in his 'rivalry' with SAF. "I will take your best player who you've won fuck all with in years and turn him into a champion in one season".
All the best in Turkey.

There is a few floating around but they are getting there story from the Sun. I can't find the Sun report though? Robin van Persie Feeling 'Betrayed' by Louis van Gaal Ahead of Manchester United Exit By Scott Saunders 10 JUL 2015
Manchester United forward Robin van Persie feels 'betrayed' by manager Louis van Gaal for his treatment in the lead up to his exit from the club, according to The Sun. Van Persie is on the verge of leaving Old Trafford for Turkish club Fenerbahce, having completed the first half of a medical and having agreed personal terms on a £200,000-a-week contract. United have accepted an offer for the player and he is now set to bring the curtain down on a three-year spell with the Red Devils. www.90min.com/posts/2344408-robin-van-persie-feeling-betrayed-by-louis-van-gaal-ahead-of-manchester-united-exit
