Don't know where to put it so here will do. Any slight touch of the arm by the ball that leads to a goal will be a handball according to Pete Walton.
I didn't think they'd actually changed the rule that much but it means handballs leading to a gial are totally different to regular handballs.

Daniel James in the match against Wolves showed that he is better than Andreas Pereira and should play at the start XI keep james as an impact player against very tired legs

The commentator made a good point. Nuno didn't mean to put on Traore he was forced to. Wolves were a bit lucky. I think Ole did most things right, Rashford needs to just pick up the ball. Giggs said that if he tried to take the ball from Ruud he'd have been told where to go. Down to Rashford imo and I'm one of his biggest fans. Yeah I agree, has to be more selfish. I mean, Pogba could've also said "No mate, you take it, you scored last week." mind you.

I think Ole has us playing well but I’m still finding the fact that he said last night that we’ve ‘two designated penalty takers’ and it’s ‘whoever fancies it at the time’ as well strange. I mean, different era, different times but the likes of Steve Bruce, Eric and Denis Irwin were designated individual penalty takers in the past. More often than not, minimum fuss, back of the net. If there’s anybody that you’d expect to fathom that it’s Ole. It’s a bit surprising. As I said last night, it suggests a slight lack of attention to detail in my opinion. Thought Neville was correct on that score last night, it’s not under age football- it’s the Premier League. It just baffles me this morning. That’s my rant out of the way before work. What else do you expect him to say?
He's hardly going to throw Pogba under the bus in public is he? Worked well for the last guy....With respect, you've misinterpreted my initial point completely. I'm not referring to Pogba individually.
It's the fact that we've somehow introduced this system of two designated penalty takers and this notion of 'who fancies it'.
Don't like it personally and as I said last night, this has the potential to escalate if both players are feeling confident because then this is going to be debated between both of them.
In fact it's going to happen with every penalty we get going forward. It's just barmy.

One thing from last night- it looks like we’ve stopped giving stupid goals away as a defence. They hit the post from a corner and Neves postage stamped it. Cliche aside, last year we would almost certainly have lost that 2-1. So at last we have a very solid base to build from. The frustrating thing for me is you see how transformative two top quality signings has been on one part of the side. We should have pushed the boat out for an attacking mid or right winger. And central midfielder.

Whether he's poor or not this shit is unacceptable. Good to see Rashford sticking up for him on that front.

Racially abusing Pogba is downright disgusting.
I hope the morons on social media are located and named and shamed. Appalling to hear.

We need players that can cross. The lack of crosses we put into the box is worrying. I'm sure Shaw used to put in a good ball. What happened? Now he just passeds to the nearest man instead of whipping it in. Frustrating. That's probably the last thing we need IMO. We need to learn to break teams down and not just punt it out wide then hope for the best. As mentioned in a previous post, it doesn't help when Lingard is our #10. We need someone like Maddison who can actually play in tight spaces with creativity and vision. We need options. Most other teams have players that can and do cross, City and Liverpool amongst them. And they get plenty of goals from them. What we don't need are fullbacks that consistently pass into cul-de-sac's, when going outside and whipping the ball into the 6 yard box is an option.

We haven't had a regular penalty taker since Rooney left barring last season when Pogba took the majority.
I'm not saying I agree with deciding on the pitch. I just don't get the reaction it's had.

woke up this morning feeling...still mixed.
but we do look a much better side compared to last season. a few of the top 6 will drop points at molineux and possibly lose. no shame in that result at all. neves goal was an absolute beauty. missed penalties happen aswell but rashford should have been more selfish. not asking pogba if he wants to take it, grab the ball and tell him you scored the last one, he can take the next one if he misses. i think pogba apologized to the fans when he walked off the pitch. nice gesture but not necessary imho.
mctominay had a bad game, a rare bad game though, couldnt connect his passes. james looks exciting but somehow gives me the feeling that he has more to learn than greenwood. i might start greenwood on the right next game. lingard as our 10 is a disaster. give andreas a go for a couple of games. maguire looks like the future captain and our back 4 makes me calm. no words for AWB...what a defender. i can totally see him becoming the best right back in the world in one or two years.
any decent midfielders out of contract or available for loan?
and i wont stop: neves, maddison, rice, sancho!

I’d try pushing Pogba further forward, in place of Lingard. Play Fred or Pereria alongside Scott.

Play Fred or Pereria alongside Scott. agree. pogba has done some very important defensive work in recent weeks. but we could do with his dribbling and passing abilities further forward on the pitch. he's done a really decent job in that midfield 2 but he should be the one creating and spreading passes in a more offensive role
