He's been humped 4 and 6 in the space of eight games. How moronically shit are your standards if you aren't questioning him? Who said I'm not questioning him? I've criticised some of his decisions so far, I think we all have but I'm not gonna call for his head after only 7 games, thats just mental. We all knew it would take a few windows for him to get where he needs to get. Everyones standards should be high but we also should be expecting miracles. There's been some bad and some good so far this season so I'll see how it ends before I make any rash calls. Let's see what changes he makes for the Everton game. Eithr way I expect a reply to yesterday just like we did after the Brenford game. It's nine games. Lost nearly half of them. 13-4. Real Madrid sacked a mistake after a fortnight. I wanted ten Hag to be the fix but he's been nothing but a yes man from day one. Nice guys finish last. Foden scored a hat trick for fuck sake. Burn it to the ground. |

Ten Hag is the first Manchester United manager to fall 4-0 down at half time on two separate occasions in the Premier League. That is not really an enviable record.
He has his philosophy and wants us to dominate possession, play from the back and press from the front. That all sounds good and obviously we need to move on from Ole ball even though it did suit players like Bruno and Rashford and helped to cover up our deficiencies in possession. But we do not have unlimited funds the way Pep did and Erik needs to be more pragmatic and find the right balance.

Also, our best players this season have all been his buys so he clearly needs to be trusted and backed with more signings. He has said he's happy with the squad. Ten Hag owns this. His actions suggest otherwise. |

Agree. He had a total of 7 competitive matches. We still need to get a CM , striker and a GK to even start playing the way he wants us. ETH has proven he can learn from his mistakes (Maguire) , so lets give him some more time before calling for his job. He's had a total of nine competitive matches and has lost four of them by an aggregate score of 13-4. Just how shit does it have to be for people to be allowed to question if ten Hag just hasn't got it? Still you don't talk of sacking managers after 9 games ! This guy created some fantastic teams with Ajax , he was highly rated by most when we got him. Its not like Ole , he has shown given the right players he can build title winning teams playing good football. 'Just how shit does it have to be for people to be allowed to question if ten Hag just hasn't got it?' Unless things go really tits up , a trophyless season and dropping outside top 4 finish and we can talk about replacing him. |

I don't know what the real story is with Casemiro, but he needs to be played in the next 3 games from the start in the two Europa League games and Everton.
You don't make a 150M 5 year investment in a player and leave him on the bench. We need to see what he has and let him gain form if that's what he needs.
Martial back is a big plus, because he is the best option we have as a striker! He's another one who needs to play consistently to get the best out of him and he needs to be more consistent. We need a first choice front three to play regularly together so they can get that understanding.

For me this season for ETH is a free pass, but it's a free pass with certain conditions and that is the football needs to be massively improved on ole ball, players need to actually improve and if they don't perform they are dropped, also a top four has to be the bare minimum and if we don't get that then he has to go.
His signings all look to have improved our squad so that's one tick and he clearly needs another 5 or 6 of his own players.

In October 2018, he got hammered by Barca and they sacked him. Why should our standards be lower? Bayern and Real are the two elite clubs in football. Everything we do should be trying to get to that level. Frank de Boer won Eredivisie titles for Ajax and was sacked by Inter after 85 days. He lasted 10 weeks at Crystal Palace. Why do we have worse standards then Crystal Palace? |

Jose and LVG and even OLE all qualified for the Champions League in their first full season. Jose won a domestic cup in his first season. LVG won a domestic cup in his second season.
Yes last season was a total disaster and we are having to rebuild. But Erik was allowed to sign five new starters and was given more control than other managers have been afforded in the past.
So for me Champions League qualification is an absolute minimum expectation.
I am OK with inconsistency in the beginning as we try to adapt to a new style of play and bed in new signings etc. But part of the job description is avoiding humiliation even if it means being pragmatic and resorting to negative tactics against teams that we aren't yet strong enough to play on our own terms. A good example would be how Jose managed the El Clasico fixtures after that first humiliating 5-0 defeat.

Ten Hag has surely learned by now that Rashford is not the answer as a consistent goal scorer or provider or winger, he still cannot run quickly with a ball under tight control, has no left foot and cannot time a jump to head a ball, he has to go or at least be put into the reserves to learn his trade.
The best goal scorer at the Club is Ronaldo, why does he not start every game he is fit for? why is Casemiro not starting every game he is fit for?.
McTominay is not good enough to be a starter, Martial did ok yesterday but we have seen that he is not consistent in the past.
Maybe he has finally come good so he needs a Final chance. Hag got some good results against Arsenal and Liverpool but we never looked convincing, playing on the break is Useless against the sides that sit back and we will draw too many matches.
We cant keep changing managers but if they are not delivering we have to. That being said I believe that If he does not get Champions League football for next season he has to go too. Time will tell.
