Never won anything of note, tactically clueless, and just a totally inferior coach to ETH.

He won the Toulon tournament in 2016 with England U21, and was Pl Manager of the month in August 2008, so I'd suggest you fact check your slander before you come out with shit like he's won nothing of note. |

I’d rather it wasn’t, obviously. We all would. But I’ll give him a fair go at it, even if I do strongly suspect it’ll be an awful appointment that will go pear shaped rapidly.

Relieved. But feeling uneasy.
We really need to get this transfer window right. Otherwise Erik will still have an unbalanced and injury prone squad next season and we will continue to struggle. And his job is even harder now because he won't get to choose who we sign and will be made responsible for getting the best out of whoever the recruitment department decide to sign and when they get things wrong they will blame Erik for failing to do so.
And let's not forget with Ashworth tied up in a legal battle with Newcastle and INEOS too cheap to come to a compensation agreement Jason Wilcox will be running recruitment this summer. And he has absolutely no experience of doing so! In his short spell as DOF at Southampton he oversaw transfer expenditure of about £20m and before that he was at City's academy.
